Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] As I previously stated, I brought my [redacted] to Audio Vision on 4-4- I told [redacted] that the truck would always start with remote but after driving for awhile when it was shut off it would then not start with the key, only remote After about minutes vehicle would start either way If started with the key truck would always start When I stated this I was told it was going into lock out mode and would take hr to fix After over hrsI was asked if I had [redacted] which I stated that I did I was then told that the truck would now not start either way and would had to be towed home or to a dealer At no time ever was I told they could fix the remote starter by comppleteing the last programming step! If it could be fixed then why would I have it towed to [redacted] to be charged $468.78? I would have let Audio Vision repair it! AudioVision is not telling the true story As for [redacted] they told me that the remote starter wires had been cut and it was such a mess that it was beyond repair and a new unit had to be installed McGee also advised that numerous wires had been cut and they were too unable to repair unit If Audio Vision were unable to repair issue they should have stated so instead of causing damage to the vehicle Upon bringing vehcle in the starter was in working order ae the vehicle was operable/driveable, upon leaving the starter was damaged/inoperable and the vehicle had to be towed The issues were caused by the business At no time did business offer to repair damage causedRegards, [redacted]

This reply is in response to the rebuttal from *** ***When her car was brought to us in April for a radio installation all the wiring needed to be done was behind the radioThere was no need to take the doors apart to inspect the wiring at that timeIt always takes more time to fix the problem that it does to diagnose itFixing the problem involved taking door panels off, repairing the wiring to both speakers and remounting the speakersThere was only one screw holding the speakers to the doors( there should have been 4) and the speaker wires were not connected to the speakersAs stated in my first letter, fixing everything in the drivers door still did not produce soundWe had to take everything apart again and diagnose the problem further to find that the wire going to the speaker was bad and needed replacementThe speakers in the door panels were previously removed and there were missing screwsAll of this was explained to *** and her husband when we were working on the carThey agreed to pay We did spend hours on the carIf they felt that there was a problem it should have been stated at that timeI still believe that she does not have a valid claim because we worked on her car for hours on her car and only charged the which was paid with out complaint

As I previously stated, I brought my 2012 [redacted] to Audio Vision on 4-4-18.  I told [redacted] that the truck would always start with remote but after driving for awhile when it was shut off it would then not start with the key, only remote.  After about 15 minutes vehicle would start either way.  If started with the key truck would always start.  When I stated this I was told it was going into lock out mode and would take 1 hr to fix.  After over 2 hrs. I was asked if I had [redacted] which I stated that I did.  I was then told that the truck would now not start either way and would had to be towed home or to a dealer.  At no time ever was I told they could fix the remote starter by comppleteing the last programming step!  If it could be fixed then why would I have it towed to [redacted] to be charged $468.78?  I would have let Audio Vision repair it!  AudioVision is not telling the true story.  As for [redacted] they told me that the remote starter wires had been cut and it was such a mess that it was beyond repair and a new unit had to be installed.  McGee also advised that numerous wires had been cut and they were too unable to repair unit.  If Audio Vision were unable to repair issue they should have stated so instead of causing damage to the vehicle.  Upon bringing vehcle in the starter was in working order ae the vehicle was operable/driveable, upon leaving the starter was damaged/inoperable and the vehicle had to be towed.  The issues were caused by the business.  At no time did business offer to repair damage caused. Regards,

I am 43 and this is the 2nd time in my life that I have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.In April 2015, my husband took a stereo to Audio Vision for installation in my vehicle.  He was charged $60.  I had a functioning stereo and 2 functioning front speakers.  I had no expectation of functioning rear speakers as they were not functioning when I purchased the vehicle in January 2014.  The front speakers had been operational until August 2015.  I thought maybe a wire had come loose or something.  I didn't think it was unreasonable to ask the installer to check it out.Approximately 20 minutes after taking my car in to Audio Vision, I had 2 men reading me the riot act about how utterly screwed up the wiring on all my speakers was.  Believe me - I never touched any wiring.  The speaker wiring is in the same state it was when it was brought to Audio Vision for the stereo installation in April 2015.I was quoted a price for front speaker installation (~$180) and a price for both front and rear speaker installation (~$350).  I declined to have this work done and was told that alternatively, Audio Vision could try to hook up one speaker.  I said I preferred to leave as soon as possible.  I was told that it would take at least an hour to put my car back together and it would cost me $75 either way, whether they attempted to fix the one speaker wire or not.Feeling stuck between a rock and a hard place, I agreed to let them attempt to hook up one speaker, and called for a ride. Some questions I have looking back on these interactions are:1.  Why did no one at Audio Vision alert me to the state of my speaker wires in April 2014 when the stereo was installed?2.  If it takes 20 minutes to take apart and diagnose a car stereo problem, why does it take an hour just to put it back together?3.  If it cost $60 and takes less than an hour to install a stereo, why does it take 2 hours and $75 to make one speaker work poorly? In addition, after its time at Audio Vision on Thursday, August 20th, 2015, my vehicle's passenger side door lock fell inside the door.  Thanks a lot whoever it was at Audio Vision that put my door panel back on.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12159607, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

After reading Mr. [redacted]' response it is clear to me that he is confusing the facts of this case. As previously stated, his truck had an existing problem before it came into my shop. His truck never started with the key! Every time that we tried to start it it would go into passlock. We waited 15 minutes and tried again with the same results and the truck would not start. Once the truck was repaired and would start with the ignition key we could the complete the last step of programming the remote starter. This was told to him at that time. As stated before, Audiovision did not install this remote starter. Who ever installed it made a mess of the installation. There were wires cut. Even so, all that was need to get the remote start working was to complete the last step of programming after the truck was repaired. He did not need a new remote start installed. He is requesting payment for a problem that existed before he brought his truck to my shop. He also purchased a remote start that he did not need. This is why his request for payment is unreasanable.

On 4/4/18 [redacted] brought his 2012 [redacted] To Audiovision to have his truck repaired. [redacted] did not state in his complaint that his truck had an existing problem that it would not start with the ignition key and would only start with the remote starter. This was again told...

to me when he handed over the key to have his truck worked on. My technician removed the remote starter brain and I reprogrammed the remote start on a computer. The final step of programming is done in the truck. Because his truck had an existing problem before he brought it to me my technician was unable to complete the programming and now the remote start would not work. Now his truck would not start with the key{ which is the reason how this whole problem started to begin with and again this problem was present before we worked on his truck. My shop labor rate is $75. per hour. We worked on his truck for more than 2 hours and charged [redacted] nothing! He is requesting reimbursement for fixing a problem that was already existing before he brought his truck to my shop. The remote start that was in his truck was not installed by Audiovision. All that was needed to be done to get his remote start working again was to complete the last programming step. I would have gladly done this if he would have given me the opportunity to do this. He did not. [redacted] did not need to sell him a new remote start because he already had one. They did this as an opportunity to make money for their shop and was dishonest with [redacted]. I have been in business for 33 years and in all that time I have never had a customer bring me vehicle that did not start with it's own ignition key! [redacted] is requesting payment for a problem that his vehicle had before he brought it to my shop. He is also requesting payment for a remote start that he did not need to purchase. I believe that what he is asking for is unreasonable. Also, I never asked for any payment for the 2.5 hours that we worked on his truck.

I have been in business 30 years and this is my first complaint with the Revdex.com. On 4/9/2015 [redacted] brought us her 2001  [redacted] to have a radio installed which she supplied. She paid $60 to have this done. On 8/20/2015 [redacted] had us look at her car again. The radio...

turn on but had no sound. She was informed that our labor rate was $75 per hour. This labor rate is posted on a sign on the store that is visible to customer We removed the radio and checked all our connections and they were fine. The radio was tested and it tested OK. This rules out that the problem was caused by our installation. We found that the 2 rear speakers were both bad (would produce no sound) and the wires going to them were cut. I offered to replace the speakers and [redacted] of price. She declined to have this done. Then we proceeded to check the 2 front speakers in the doors. Both door panels were removed and we found screws missing and the wires to the speakers were disconnected. We repaired the wiring and remounted the speaker properly on the right door. This speaker now produced sound. The same was done to the left (drivers side) but still no sound from it. It was found that the wire was bad going to the speaker. [redacted] was informed of this and the cost to fix it and she declined to do this repair also. [redacted] claims that nothing was fixed. When she left she had sound in 1 speaker. We worked on her car for more than 2 hours and she was only charged $75. (1 hours labors. Also both her and her husband was made aware of this charge before the work was done. She paid this amount without complaint. It is for these reasons that I believe that she does not have a valid claim. If you have any questions please call me at the phone number above

We are not confusing the facts of this case!  The truck was driven to Audio Vision in operable condition and had to be towed away!  Audio Vision knew that they had not installed the remote starter but claimed they could still repair the unit in approximately 1 hr.  I have owned the vehicle for 1 1/2 years and at no time has the vehicle not started either by remote or key.  As I previously stated it would always start by remote but when shut off I had to wait 15 minutes to start with the key but it would still start by remote.  Other times if only key was used it always started.  The problem was with the remote starter.  Audio vision never offered to repair remote after vehicle was rendered inoperable, only that the vehicle would no longer start and had to be towed because they could not start it at all now.  Why would I have it towed if they could fix it?  Since Audio Vision tells a different story  I feel my only option is to pursue legal action I this matter.
