Review: Seeking service on February the 11th I ventured to this place of business to have my car audio installed in my new car. Prior to conducting business at Audio Zone I already had the products needed an aftermarket car radio, 12in enclosed subwoofer, and a amplifier. All that I requested of Audio Zone was an install of my aftermarket stereo with wiring to power my subwoofer. Due to the type of car I have a 2013 [redacted] Impala ltz a special wiring harnest was required to keep the onboard computer functional. After six hours of waiting the installation was complete and my car was returned I gave my new sound system a listen and I was not pleased with quality at all but by this time I have other obligations to attend to so I informed the associate on my next off day that will return to have this problem fixed. Two days later while driving my sound system completly stopped working ( it was barely working before ) but it completely stopped working. I purchased all of the products at [redacted] and luckily there was one next to my place of employment, so on my lunch break I had them inspect the situation. The associates at [redacted] informed me that my amplifier was blown out due to being wired incorrectly, and after hearing this information it put such a bad taste in my mouth that I decided I am no longer doing business with Audio Zone. I finally had some time before work yesterday February the 17th and I drove to Audio Zone requesting a partial refund, because I understand that they did install the special wiring harnest, but they sold/installed faulty wiring on my car which caused my amplifier to blow out. I spoke with the same associate I started with and he refused to issue my refund. Not only did he refuse my refund he refused to let me talk the situation out and as a customer explain my position just putting the icing on the cake with the horrible customer service.Desired Settlement: I have already issued a dispute with my card provider for a refund but if they can not resolve the issue I still would like my refund an entire refund since I'm having to take it to this level.

Response:

This letter is in response to the Revdex.com complaint made for the audio installation performed on the Black 2013 [redacted] Impala which was done on 02/11/2015. The name of the customer is Ervin [redacted] and the service performed on his vehicle was a stereo installation, amp installation, and subwoofer installation. The parts sold to the customer for the install were the [redacted] Wire harness and dash kit. These parts were used in order to install the stereo into the vehicle. The rest of the product that was installed in the vehicle was brought by the customer. While speaking to the customer we notified him that product brought by the customer is not warrantied by us however the labor is. The products brought to us were a [redacted] Amplifier, subwoofer with box. Before the installation we told Mr. [redacted] that the amplifier being installed is an AB circuitry/topology amplifier and it wouldn’t go well with his subwoofer, due to the demanding properties of how a subwoofer works. Our technicians recommended a Class D circuitry amplifier due to the efficiency of the circuitry versus the A/B circuitry for the subwoofer. We expressed our concern of the subwoofer damaging the amplifier to Mr. [redacted], he still insisted on us installing the amplifier and subwoofer. Mr. [redacted] agreed to our terms and conditions which clearly stated “No refund or credit on labor “on the receipt. Mr. [redacted] came back to the shop and demanded his money back saying that the install was done incorrectly. We offered to diagnose the system and see if we could resolve the problem for him. Mr. [redacted] was made aware of our technicians not being present at the time and that we could schedule him for a diagnosis once our technicians arrive. He made a huge commotion and demanded his money back. Mr. [redacted] allegedly went to [redacted] Arden to have them look over his product. However, no receipt or documentation of diagnosis was provided to corroborate his statement to us.
