They originally installed two rooms of carpet for about $1000, which we were pleased with the product, service and install. So, we decided to have them do a larger job for us totaling around $2500, which included 1 more room of carpet and multiple rooms of ceramic tile. The install team they used did a sub par job. There were multiple damaged tiles they installed, they left the walls a mess with mortar splatter, several doors either wouldn't open or close, one piece behind a door was poorly installed, mortar along some of the walls wasn't filled in and one of the room transition pieces started coming up within a month. I immediately called the installer who insured me he would be out to fix all the errors that he admitted his team made. After receiving the run around for over a month I called the sales associate that sold us the product. After maybe a month more no one had done anything and the salesman finally called me and said the installer had skipped town with the extra tile to fix the job. He said he would contact the owner and see what they were going to do. After a while longer and more contact initiated by me the owner and the salesman finally came out. They both noticed the poor craftsmanship of the install and I pointed out that it had been almost 6 months and I still didn't have the function of 2 of my doors, among the other problems! The owner shook my hand and told they would take care of it. About 2-3 weeks later another installer came out and he too agreed about how poor the installation was and fixed the doors, scraped mortar off walls and brought tile to fix the damaged ones that had been installed. However, the tiles didn't color match and we ( including the installer) decided it would look worse to install the tiles. He said he would research to see if they could fix the tiles with damage and get back in touch with us. It has never happened. I understand that $2500 isn't a huge job for Colortile, but that is a lot of money for my family and I expect quality work or at least some sort of resolution to still having damaged tiles and months of poor service.
