First, I am so sorry our services did not meet her expectationsMy condolences to the entire family of *** ***
Mrs*** arranged for a viewing of her husband on July 27, from 1:pm to 5:00pm at Fresno Funeral Chapel, with cremation to followMrs*** choose the hottest day of the year, at the hottest time of dayShe choose the day and time
We repeatedly asked the *** family to keep the door shut If they want it to stay coolPeople would continue to stand at the door with it propped open, some complaining how hot It was insideThe air conditioning unit is about years old and in good working orderNo AC is capable of cooling the exterior on a 110F day! We had services last Friday and Saturday with no problems what so everI would never deny anyone the AC!
Regarding the return of the cremated remains of Mr*** to Mrs***, we are unable to cremate any one until the Death Certificate has been signed and filed with the State of CaliforniaI have enclosed a working copy of the DC showing the doctor signed it 07/29/It also shows the DC being registered on 08/01/2016, We took Mr*** to Belmont Memorial Park, the Crematory, not the hold facility, at our first opportunity on Monday, 8/1/
The cremated remains are ready to be picked up by us when the crematory phones usCremations are done on their schedule not ours, usually in daysWhen Mrs*** phoned Thursday, 8/4/16, I phoned Belmont Memorial Park to ask if Mr*** was ready to be picked up and was told yes they were readyWhen asked when they were ready, I was told late Wednesday afternoon
I did not return every phone call from Mrs*** in a timely manner, trueI was short staffed all week with ***, my office help on vacation and overwhelmed with businessWe always cremate each decedent in our care at our first opportunityWe try to never put off until tomorrow what we can do today
However, all funeral homes are having more problems getting timely and accurate responses from many doctors todayIn addition, the State of California has getting stricter with causes of deathMr*** certificate is one exampleBecause the doctor did not know the time intercal for the Liver Cancer, we were made to add a line B on the DCThis voided the doctor's signature causing about a two day delayThis is happening more often every week
I will never try to explain away all of my short comings by blaming othersI should have been better in communicating the delays to Mrs***We also had her phone number wrong which did nothing to help

PS: Wednesday, 7/27/was a "Flex Alert" day by PGEI have enclosed a graph showing that my electricity use was maxed out, not saving any electricity on a day that I was paying higher than rates(Business Response.pdf)

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Because ending part about doctor not sign and need more infor.about cause of death and time..I was never told I hear [redacted] use that excuse on other phone call..he didn't write down clearly and owner was calling wrong...
