Review: In February 2013 I hired [redacted] of Augustus publishing as a consultant, the receipt with expect services consisted of: (500 books or more), eBooks, [redacted], IBNS number, design and layout, editing, advertising boards; the works for 3500.00, with promises of doing all this before the summer of 2013. I have written [redacted] about the whereabouts of the services and a refund more than once, all I get is more and more promises. That last promise was the books printed and finished with book party in November 2013. When I contacted [redacted] in the second week in November looking for a proof copy and he told me that not only did the print store catch on fire but the second print store he tried says the cover is not printing as planned, I told [redacted] I've had enough of these games I plan to sue him for the money I paid him and the money that I have to once again put out for the service he could not do. I have not heard anything from him as of yet. I paid 2000.00 in cash and 1500 with my bank check. He also have an office at [redacted] this is were he and I and my boyfriend met for meetings about my book and his services he can provide, this is also were I paid him and he also works under the company name UPTOWN Magazine.Desired Settlement: 3,500.00 plus the 1,500.00 for next publishing services.

Attn: Dispute Resolution Service
First, I would like to offer my sincerest apology for the incompletion
of the work in a timely manner. I accepted the project and tried to
accomplish it, but unfortunately I was called away to do book tour and
engaged a person, who came with recommendations. Being on tour, I was
unable to closely supervise the progress of the work, and due to this I
was unable to meet the deadlines agreed on. During the process I also
realized that the person I had previously contracted to complete the
work was inexperience. I informed [redacted] of this error in
judgement and told her that I have contracted an experienced person to
complete the project and I’ve had a long working relationship with this
person. I told [redacted] that the work will be completed in 2
weeks. The ebook will be ready for her approval and if given the go
ahead the printed version will be available in 4 weeks. At no cost to
her, the book will be given maximum exposure on the online magazines and
printed versions of Street Literature Review. This could be ongoing
from 6months to a year. Depending on her approval, I will give her the
agreed upon amount of printed books, Ebook, and the exposure. Again I
apologized for the lateness and wish we can work out a solution that
will be beneficial to the both of us.
