I put my van in and told them the problem. Over the period of 50 days, I went in twice and phoned twice to ask what was going on with my van. Each time, I was told the owner was handling it, and he'd get back to me. He never did. All I was told was that they were waiting on a part. A part for what, I have no idea...and apparently, no one but the owner did either.
Despite that experience, I asked them to fix my headlights. I was told the cost was so high because they actually replaced the headlights (not bulbs). After one headlight went out 2 days after I had it in, the mechanic said that it had been zip-tied so it wouldn't be loose, and they hadn't replaced the lights, but just a couple of bulbs ($11 each is what I priced them at). When I questioned the price, why I was told it was the system and not the bulbs and why, if he didn't touch the assembly, he apparently cut the zip-tied holder for the lights, he told me to get out and take my vehicles.

Refund My headlight still doesn't work. Apparently, they didn't really bother to fix it. I figure I should get a partial refund of about $35.
The customer came in with both low beam headlights not working and asked for the issue to be fixed along with checking the codes on her vehicle. When the car was brought in, our mechanic found the right front headlight assembly was held on by zip ties. Found access hole behind assembly and reached plug in and bulbs. Checked to make sure new bulbs worked and they did on both sides. The mechanic also jumped the diag port to flash the code which verified a speed sensor. Customer was billed for a half hour work even though it took close to an hour to diag the vehicle and to replace the bulbs on a 1992 Honda Accord. Customer called a couple days later irate on the phone that her headlights were not working and the housing was loose. After 5 minutes of the customer being irate on the phone, it was decided to bring the vehicle back in to check it again. Vehicle was brought back in and headlights were working. The secretary was brought out and shown the car upon arrival with the zip ties in place from the previous day that it was brought in. The secretary was shown that the zip ties were holding the housing whether it was from the current customer having that done or from a previous customer. The mechanic asked the customer to go out and he'd show her the car and explain the procedure he did on the car. The customer was yelling at the mechanic in the office and also out in the shop. The customer made accusations against the mechanic and would not listen to how the mechanic did the procedure on the car and had called the mechanic a liar. She was asked to leave. We did have two other customers that witnessed the behavior. She was given her keys and asked to leave the premise. The customers other vehicle that was on our lot had a wiring issue that was going to take a lot of time to trace and diag the issue. It was scheduled for the next Monday to be worked on, and she noted that she didn't need the vehicle until spring. We'd be glad to give her a refund of $35. Our family has been in business for over 60 years, and we've never had any issues. Her patronage is no longer needed at our place of business.
