Aumiller's Auto Parts, Inc. Reviews (1)

October 21, 2017Dear [redacted],Aumilier's Auto Parts, Inc. appreciates the opportunity to respond to complaint ID number [redacted].The complainant outlines two concerns. First, that Aumilier's did not pay enough for their vehicle. Please see the attached [redacted] Blue Book {*BB) report generated using...

the vehicle identification number for the specific vehicle in question. According to *BB, this vehicle held a value of $11 -$232. In this case, the vehicle wouid not run and showed significant wear on the body panels. Nevertheless, Aumilier's generously paid the complainant $100; an amount clearly in line with figures provided by nationally accepted *BB values. Also, important to note is that the complainant accepted the $100, and did not report a complaint to the Revdex.com until 15 months after the transaction.Second, Aumilier's stands accused of lying regarding the disposition of the vehicle. Automotive recyclers purchase end of life vehicles. These vehicles go through a dismantling process similar to an automotive assembly line in reverse. Usable parts are removed, inspected, tested, inventoried, and stored for resale. Damaged parts are recycled for the metal/material value, or are sold to parts remanufacturers. The term for this process is "scrapping".There are many costs affiliated with scrapping end of life vehicles. Examples of the expenses Aumilier's incurs include employee wages, titling fees, reporting fees, hauling, insurance, and utilities. We pay for special equipment to recover gasoline and motor oil. We pay to have antifreeze and tires removed from our property. Yes, we do sell parts from scrapped vehicles to cover these costs. Never did we indicate to this complainant that we would not sell parts from this scrapped car.Aumilier's Auto Parts, Inc. is a third-generation, family owned and operated automotive recycler. We are proud to be an environmentally responsible recycler known for our work ethic, integrity, and commitment to our customers and our community. We are saddened that the complainant was not 100% satisfied. We will use this information to better educate our customers, and work to insure this type of misunderstanding does not happen again in the future.Sincerely,Karl A[redacted], Sr. President
