Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/06/24) */
During our initial consultative appointment, it was made aware to the member that the apron to the garage would most likely not fully satisfy the memberDue to the member's limited budget for repair work, the member decided to not have the
garage floor replacedThe garage floor is completely sunken in and absolutely needs to be replacedWhile it would seem somewhat obvious, it was made clear to the member that the garage floor, apron, sidewalk/patio and driveway all affect one anotherThis is somewhat rational, given they all connect to one anotherWith the constraints that we had to work with and the added issue of water drainage, we did the best possible job
During construction of the apron, the disrepair of the garage floor was worse than originally thoughtBecause of this, we cut into the garage floor and replaced a small portion of it at no chargeThe additional labor and material charge for the extra section in the garage was estimated to be $Had we not cut into the garage but replaced only the apron, the garage door would still be short of touching the garage floor as we were not contracted to replace the garage floor
The only way to fully correct the problem is to have the entire garage floor replaced as we originally discussed at our first appointment
This contract is available upon request

The contract does not state limestone specifically but says we re-establish 4" of base for the new asphalt to be installed. Upon prepping the area, we added recycled base material in areas that were needed and other areas were able to use the existing rock that was there. It was all
compacted before paving. After not paying the invoice for almost months and explaining that our contract does state we can remove the asphalt work we installed for non payment, his issue was brought to our attention. This was clearly a way of not paying his bill as even the customer stated, "there is not anything wrong with the finished product and it looks great". We have a year warranty and have been in business for over years and have never once had an issue like this. This is simply a case of a customer finding a reason to not pay his bill

I am rejecting this response because:
I can send you the contractIt states they will reestablish 4” of recycled limestone baseI had the sales guy out and we dug under the driveway and found nothing but the sand that was already thereI have always paid all my billsI just want it done correctly and to what the contract says

We completed ***’s Driveway on 6/7/2016. The inquired about some issues and we visited the property on 6/28/2016. I’ve attached pictures of the driveway that were taken that day. We addressed those concerns and waited for payment. After not hearing from *** or getting
returned phone calls, we emailed on 9/13/requesting payment. We immediately received an email back stating the same concerns we addressed earlier. On 9/18/we returned to the property to inspect the driveway again. The video link from this inspection is https://www.dropbox.com/s/kvln8fzjxam7mb9/IMG_1238.MOV?dl=. We then emailed on 9/20/explaining what she was seeing and reassuring *** the driveway has nothing wrong with it. We did not hear from *** since. This left us no other options but to file a Lien before our Lien rights expired and in the hopes that *** but communicate with us to clear up the balance due. It seemed to work, as you can see, months later, she contact the Revdex.com and Angie’s ListThe driveway has no defects. When paving a driveway that has to have passes made with the paver, there is going to be a seam. That seam is going to be of different texture. Also, anywhere the paver can’t reach will be hand raked leaving a different texture. This happens where the paver starts, ends, seams and on ***’s driveway, the notch out where the driveway meets the sidewalk. ***’s understanding was that as we used our “hands” to do the driveway. Asphalt is degrees and using our hands would not be an option. As for the tire marks, a characteristic of asphalt is that it becomes soft when it’s warm out. This can last for years. Lawn chairs, grills, kick stands will all sink in to new asphalt. Cars that twist tires will also leave a mark on the new asphalt. When estimating ***’s driveway, she mentioned that she gets lots of cars turning around in her driveway because of only being the 2nd house in from the main road. This would explain why the tire marks are at the bottom of the driveway. The cars pull in, twist their tires and pull back out. We fully warranty our driveways for years and have been in business for over years. If the driveway were to fail structurally, we would be out right away to make repairs as needed. That is not the case for this driveway. Without payment in full, we will have no choice but to proceed with our Lien rights and file in court for final paymentRon ***Aurora Asphalt & SealcoatingAurora ConcreteDivisions of The Aurora Group, Inc.www.aurora-asphalt.comwww.aurora-concrete.comwww.facebook.com/AuroraAsphaltC... # *** On 3/1/9:AM, *** *** Revdex.com wrote:

As the contract states that is attached, we re-establish 4" of base.  We did not circle any specific kind of base that would be under the driveway.  Recycled base was added where needed to give a solid base foundation.  If we are specifying what base we are going to use, we circle it, just like we did the sod and rock removal.

Aurora just finished replacing our asphalt driveway and doing some concrete work. Ther results were fantastic. The workmanship was excellent. The crews that did the work showed great attention to detail. We are glad we chose Aurora.

Awful customer service. They did a cement apron for us in the summer of 2014. Over that following winter it heaved up so much you could see all the ground underneath of it, as well as took the brick off the front of our house, smashed up all the siding around the garage door and disabled our garage door opening unit. We fought with them to fix all of it the entire summer of 2015. (Multiple calls a month). Someone came out 1 time and fixed the squished siding and took the entire chunk of brick off and said they'd be back next week to fix it. Fast forward to this year. Here we are... STILL fighting aurora asphalt for someone to fix our brick because we are now selling our house. Nobody ever answers the phone and we don't get calls back. Infuriating. Never again will I go with these guys.
