Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that the final resolution is satisfactory to me
Please note that at other dentists offices (such as the one that I visited approximately two weeks ago) I have received an estimate on dental work prior to anything being done especially since the appointment was made well in advance. It took only minutes to receive pre authorization and I knew exactly what and how much I would be paying. It also needs to be noted that DrS***'s office failed to note that the ACTUAL amount for services rendered was approximately $less that the bill received in the mail. Such dishonesty can only be satisfied one way and that is to find a dentist with better billing practices and patient sensitivity
Sincerely,
*** ***

patient canalways ask to have the treatment preauthorized through both insurances, this process takes time andthe patient was in discomfort. He chose to have treatment on this day. His Insurance did not coordinatethe typical way and it resulted in him having a portion. The patient signed a financial policy that statesthat he is responsible for all charges. unpaid by the insurance. The patient then mentions that we did not send him a copy of the Explanation of Benefits with hisstatement. The Insurance sends the patient their EOB, there is no law requiring us to do that. The patient goes on to describe the treatment he received. We have provided the DDS's chart note fromthis date of service, which indicates that an endodontic file broke off in the canal. The patient wasinformed that it would act as a seal and he stated that he understood and wanted to continue with treatment. The DDS did not inform him at any time that he needed to go to an "orthodontist" (oralsurgeon or endodontist). The patient is liable for all charges not paid by insurance; however due to the complications at the timeand his dissatisfaction we have written the entire amount off and the patient has a zero balance. Wehave attempted to contact the patient to let him know the end result of this and he has not responded.Austin * S[redacted]
