send them to collections, and will not pursue that action, I will assure you. I have seek out thoughts, suggestions from people I know in the health insurance industry.  This is what they have shared with me. How it works for some, is the patient may choose to pay for some or all of their medical expenses out-of-pocket by check. Save the checks, or receipts to track their qualified expenditures. At some point in the future they can reimburse themselves for those expenses. They can go to their bank ATM withdraw the money with their debt card to reimburse themselves. When they reimburse themselves is completely up to them. They must retain the receipts for the qualified medical expenses in case the IRS inquires and the expenses must have been incurred after the date of the establishment of the HSA.I truly understand their frustration and apologize for ALL inconveniences we have caused. We ask them to please research this possible action with their bank. If this is not an option for Mr [redacted], I will be more than happy to make them whole and refund them the amount of the check they have paid.Thanks,Best Regards,[redacted]
