Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I'm not complaining about the partThe first part was wrong second one worked but the computer in the ignition was the problem from the start which was never assessedWhen I called the shop about this I was told they assumed it was just the ignitionI'm complaining that I was charged for one thing while the problem was elsewhere, and to top it off the chip inside my key was missing so couldn't program it to the ignition and pro max says that it was working when I brought it in but after having my car towed to dealer found out there was no chip inside my keyI have a saved message on my phone from promax stating the chip was gone I guess they forgot about the message which proves the chip was taken out by promaxi Paid for towing because after putting in ignition was told they didn't know the key needs programming which how can you charge someone not knowing to complete fix for repair?.Also had to buy a new key from dealer because mines had no chip in it anymore so couldn't be programmed which is the complaintThe wrong assessment on fixing my vehicle and losing my chip which cost me more money Sincerely [redacted] ***
Customer brought in his own salvage yard parts. We can not guarantee or warranty customer parts. The ignition was not bad, the part the customer brought in was bad. The tumbler in the aluminum housing was bad. His key fob worked while his car was in our shop and we tried to
program it but couldn't. None of our manuals said that the key fob was going to need to be programmed. Ultimately, when a customer brings in a salvage yard part we cannot guarantee or warranty that part. If the parts are purchased through our company we would definitely warranty the part
