Auston Grove Apartments

Auston Grove is holding me accountable for a smell they say was left in apartment once I moved out. I transferred apartments on April 13,2015. I previously rented an apartment at [redacted] #[redacted]. I received the keys to the new apartment[redacted] on April 10,2015. I kept a very neat and fume free home. I returned the keys on April 12 via the drop box. I had a piece of furniture that a family member wanted so I asked if it had been removed an it wasn't so I was able to go back into the apartment on April 14,2015. There was a painting crew in the apartment with only the smell of paint. Weeks later I was told there was a strong smell that had to be removed with an ozone machine and it will cost me $150. I was not given an opportunity to smell this same smell that they hold me financially responsible for. I feel this is unfair an when I spoke with Mr. [redacted] he threatened my lease if I didn't pay. my previous apartment was a three bedroom and I moved to a two bedroom. Now the differences in the rent is $150. I understand it might be a little hard to rent a three bedroom and they don't want to take a loss however it is not fair to just bill me for something I an completely unaware of creating.. I can remember a few times when the maintenance crew member complimented me on the cleanliness of my home. This is y I am so confused about this strong odor Mr. [redacted] speaks of. I feel like he is trying to.bully me into paying due to everyone needing a place to live.
