Authentic Porcelain Refinishing

Review: I have used this company for about 15-20 years….I have never had a problem with the person that worked for them for that time. THere is a new person reglazing now and [redacted], [redacted] gave me a price of $350 to reglaze the tub. When the tech came the only exposed area was the drain. the walls and tub were completely white, but the tub had yellowed. He reglazed and covered everything with paper and when I took the paper off a day later after it was "dry" the edge of the tub where the tub meets the wall tile was scraped and not glazed. This was perfect when he came, and he obviously scraped and did not spray appropriately. This is a terrible job. In all the years the old guy did it I never had an issue, and now [redacted] is telling me I have to pay an additional $60 to get him to come back. She is saying he took grout out and I have to put back in. Again, in all the years I have worked with them I have never put in grout, taken it out or anything . Job was shoddily done. The reglazing was not done as it should have been and if the edge needs finishing with caul he should not leave it looking like this. It is however tooo large an area for just caulk. I am also a registered interior designer, and have done this umpteen times for clients and know how it should look. Then [redacted] starts telling me that $350 was too low anyhow, and went on and on arguing that I should pay the $60. I am really shocked after all these years that she would not send the tech back to finish the job appropriately. This is very poor business and I would like my money back or to get the job finished properly. I would never use them again and would suggest others do not if this is now the way they conduct business especially with a long time client. I am really disappointed.Desired Settlement: I want the tech to come back and reglaze the part he scraped and did not finish. He needs to finish it neatly. It looks awful.

I paid $350 to have my bathtub reglazed. The tub was regalzed but the edges that meet the walls were scraped and left unfinished and looked awful. I called them back and they would not come back to finish this unless I paid an additional $60.00 I have had my tub reglazed many times by this company, with a different [redacted] and it was never left like this. It was always perfect. The [redacted] said that it was fine and I should finish it off myself with caulk. It needed cauliking but as you can see by the photo he scraped higher than caulk and it needs glazing. As a registered NYS interior designer I have regalzed many tubs and they are NEVER left like this. The job was not done properly and the company did not care, and deposited my check. I called right after and said that in good faith I would not cancel the check, and they should come back and finish. They went ahead and deposited the check and would not come back unless I paid more. [redacted] did not want to listen, did not want a photo, and said it was fine and my job to complete it. My second photo shows another tub reglazed and finished properly.
