This Auto Pay Sold me a Volkswagon Passat has had a check engine light on it since I purchased it as do all the other cars that they sell there.Within a month of having it it broke down on our way home from Knights Ferry had to have it towed to the car dealer where it spent weeks since I was lied to by Frank telling me they'd fix the problem I was not givin any paper work by them after their so called tweaker mechanic supposedly inspected it.He told me he had to send it to another shop on 7th street where it was to be fixed,After bugging them nearly every day and asking when my car would be finished I finally got it back the second week of June with a new engine "SUPPOSEDLY" and Still with a Check engine light on.Me ans myhusband were advised by the mechanic that fixed our car to never buy a car from Auto Pay as all their vehicles are in terrible condition and now November just before Thanksgiving my car has broken down one more time Ive called the warranty company and was told my limit has been exceeded of $4,when clearly it says it covers mos or 18,miles like WTF really how can this place still be in business THEYRE LIARS,SCAMMERS AND FRAUDS ESPECIALLY FRANK.This is terrible for me and everyone that has gotten ripped off by this place buying a used car shouldn't mean a sy car :(

I bought a gfrom this placeFirst off let me say that this car has more recalls on it that were never taken care ofThen of course it runs like ***They gave me a warranty to bring it in to fix the a/c,After having my car for days, I went and got it back because they told me they couldn't figure out what the problem wasThen these Is give my husband who is a mechanic a jobBut they never had him do anypaperworkThey give him a car, but in the weeks he worked for them without getting paid, the owners went into the shop after hours and stole a lot of my husband's toolsTheN they decide to report the car that they gave my husband stolenKeep in mind if they would have paid him, he would have been able to transfer title into his nameBut they never paid him a dimeI don't know where to turn because I was told piece work is legalBut he finished a large number of carsAnd never got anythingThen to make matters worse, they kept asking my husband to sell them drugsReally?? I will tell everyone I know what sm these guys are

I purchase a 2003 bmw from auto1pay modesto, ca on 12-23-2014 for 2,200 down from [redacted], I drove the car off the lot and the car wouldnt go, it started overheating and had no acceleration. I called [redacted] back and he said to bring the car back and he would take care of the problem. He told me give him a few days and he would call me to pick the car up. I called him and he said it would be another week to fix the car, as he said there was no oxgen getting to the engine and something with the censors. They told me they replaced the radiator and fan. I picked up the car 2 weeks later and still the car was still not running right, I would take off and the car wouldnt accelarate. [redacted] said bring it back and he would again take care of the problem. By this time its in the month of January 2015, I brought the car back and [redacted] said that they needed to do a scan on this car, he called me back and told me its the transmission and he would replace it as the engine has a 6 month warranty on this car. So [redacted] said they had to order the parts for the car and by now its been another 3 weeks I was suppose to move and I didnt have any transportation , So [redacted] gave me a 2006 saturn ion to use until he fixed the bmw [redacted] said they ordered the transmisson and it would be about a week to get it fixed. I called him back a few days before and he said that his mechanic ordered the wrong transmisson I have a 2003 325 ci but ordered a 525 transmission again I had to wait for them to get the part or parts.. at this point im getting upset because they are telling me it should be ready in another week. Now its in the month of february, I went down without saying anything to check on my car and its sitting outside with nothing done to it and notice a big scratch in the drivers door. As I went inside to speak to [redacted] and he wasnt there. I came back the next day and my car wasnt there. I asked [redacted] where is my car he said I had to take the car to a specialty shop on seventh street, He didnt call or let me know where it was, I found out through a friend where my car was at , as he worked for this shop on 7th street,. I went to the other shop and the ownerr said its not the transmission its the wiring harness and other problems going on with this car. His name is [redacted] , he has had problems with auto 1 pay as well I asked for a work order several times from both parties invoved and never gave me one. So I found out that my car was taken to another shop as well and they said they couldnt fix it. by this time im pissed off its in the month of march. I took the car to a shop that works on bmw, mercedes, jaguires ect.. and they ran a diganostic for 3 hrs, Now this shop told me that [redacted] mechanics and whoever [redacted] sent the car too has totally messed this car up, and for the diagnostic its gonna be over 300 dollars and to fix what [redacted] people did the total is $2079 in repairs .. this shop I took it to said this is really bad and is giving me a print out of everything wrong with this car. im having to pay for the diagnostic and I cant afford it. I gave [redacted] $2,200 and he pocketed 200 of it as well as gave the wrong vin number my insurance which [redacted] took a month to turn in my insurance because my payment went up 70 dollars. at this point [redacted] is calling me telling me hes gonna report the saturn hes letting me use until the bmw is fixed and I got pulled over and come to find out The saturn is behind 3 years on the tags and had no insurance on it , WHAT KING OF AUTO DEALER DOES THIS , I KNOW BECAUSE THEY DONT WNT TO PAY THE TAXES ON IT. THE SATURN WASNT IN AUTO1PAY NAME ITS STILL IN THE PERSON OR OTHER PERSON NAME, NOW MIND YOU, I RECORDED EVERY CONVERSATION , [redacted] TOLD ME I TOLD U NOT TO BUY THIS CAR ITS F UPP I ASKED FOR ANOTHER CAR HE SAID U DONT WANT THAT CAR ITS F UP I ASKED ABOUT 5 OR SIX DIFFERENT CARS AND HE SAID U DONT WANT THESE CARS THEY ARE F[redacted] UP SO I SAID YOUR SELLING F[redacted]UP CARS NOT ONLY TO ME BUT TO OTHER CUSTOMERS... This vehicle was purchased AS-IS from Auto 1 Pay. The customer also purchased a third party warranty.Post Sale:
After driving the vehicle for several thousand miles, the customer returned to our lot complaining about an issue with the vehicle. We informed her that this vehicle was purchased AS-IS and helped her get in contact with her warranty company. Since this car was driven over the allotted miles allowed on the warranty, the warranty company informed her that the warranty has expired.
Auto 1 Pay attempted to help the customer by paying a third party mechanic to inspect the vehicle. Post inspection, the mechanic informed the customer that the diagnostic tool revealed it could be several components that could be causing this issue. Per the customer's request, the third party mechanic replaced/fixed several components using a trial and error method at the expense of Auto 1 Pay. The mechanic then stated that the issue boiled down to one component in which he didn't have the tool to fix/replace. The customer was furious and caused a scene at the lot of Auto 1 Pay when customers were present. She was asked to leave and per her request, the vehicle was dropped off at her mechanic .
Overall, Auto 1 Pay operated in good faith and has gone above and beyond to help the customer since she was the owner's friend. There's nothing further Auto 1 Pay can do regarding this matter.

I am rejecting this response because: Auto 1Pay has never produced any documentation to me when the car was in their possession. I brought the car to them before the extended
warranty had expired, they kept brushing me off and was rude.  I understand the car was purchased "As Is" , but to sell a car with the intent to deceive is wrong and immoral.  I brought
the car to them because they sold me a lemon. And in turn became rude and the owner and all the employees were  very unprofessional in handling the situation.  I have all the dates
to which these people had the car. Why would they keep my car for 28 days from January to middle of February and than tell me to take it to my mechanic.  I was never rude to any of
these people, my son was with me and can attest to this, the owner however, has anger issues and impatient. I don't see how these people can be in business with good conscience. When
purchasing the vehicle they should of had everything wrong it, or I would have never purchased it. That's deceiving the customer. I have all the paperwork that my mechanic has done on this car.
Auto 1 Pay should take some blame in this matter and rectify their wrong doing.

Be warned. This establishment is crooked and unethical at the very least. We were only looking at prices when Frankie, the manager came up to us. We were pressured intently to commit to a purchase a car despite our objections. He pushed and pushed until my husband was too embarassed not to. We had poor credit and thats all they needed to offer a miracle deal. THIS IS THEIR SCAM. The contract was a ploy to get a down payment, drive home a car and get a call weeks later saying the bank denied our loan. When we went back Frankie told us not to worry, he would find us the financing. He would only require a higher down payment. AND the NEW contract was at a higher 24.9% interest rate! We tried to give the car back and requested our downpayment be returned.Frankie agreed at first explaining there would be a 550 restocking fee.!!!! Needless to say we cut our losses. Paid the fee and it turned out to be the best choice. When we did the math later ourselves we realized that they were charging thousands over the accurate interest rate. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!

Review: I went to Auto 1 Pay to purchase a vehicle which he stated would be no problem finding. I gave him a deposit of $1000 which was $500 more than he was asking for. He gave me a loaner car and said he should have no problem finding a vehicle and would get it to me as soon as possible. Weeks went by with no success he never got me a vehicle anything like the one I told him I was interested in and at the same time the loaner car he gave me to use started having problems. I brought it to him 4 or 5 times in a months time for problems it was having. I asked for a refund since he hadn't found me a car and the loaner I was using was getting worse and worse. The worst came 2 months later when the loaner car broke down on the Altamont Pass. I called him and after arguing with him he finally agreed to pick up the car, however he still has my money. When I asked him about the car that he told me he had found for me he stated that he already sold it. I still have no car nor do I have my money back.I have pictures of the loaner car when it broke down as well as at other times.Desired Settlement: I want and deserve my $1000 back. The loaner car he gave me was in very bad condition and didn't even last 2 months. I still do not have the vehicle I wanted and I am out the $1000 that I gave him.

Review: I financed a Chevrolet Aveo LS on 11/16/2013. Had continuous problems with this vehicle. Customer service was horrible, took it back several times with no results. On 1/20/14 Owner [redacted] said it was major work but couldn't start it right away, said it had so many problems. On 1/21/14 I took it to my mechanic, and he did a diagnostic , recommended I take it back to dealer. I gave back the car on 1/22/14, They kept it for 5 weeks, than they took it to my mechanic on 2/27/14 because they didn't want to fix the problem. There was no work order when they had the car. Owner [redacted] was rude and very unprofessional and said "we treated you like a friend of the family". I said "That's a lie" and he kicked me out. I believe they wasted time so my extended warranty would run out and they didn't want to put money into the car. My mechanic has continuously fixed many problems and it has cost me $2,200 and I barely picked up the car 5/9/14. This car has been nothing but a nightmare, one problem after the next. This dealership does not take care of their customers, they gave me a lemon and didn't want to take care of their responsibility.Desired Settlement: I want the dealer to pay for ALL repairs on the vehicle.

Review: My complaint is that these people first sold me a truck with bad breaks, broken AC, there is a loud noise when you turn the steering wheel, and there are little noises here and there. I brought this up to their attention, and made me drive all the way back from Suisun City to Modesto to fix the issues. One of the workers who was rude, arrogant, and disrespectful told me that they were not going to fix anything on my truck. I asked to speak to the owner at least 3 times to at least send me registration papers so I can get all my paperwork done with DMV. They never sent me anything!!!! As a matter of fact, I got pulled over my the police and got a ticket for $1273.00, for no registration, plates, or insurance.Desired Settlement: I want them to take responsibility for the ticket that I got, it was all their fault.
