I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
First off the owner never did call me back on the auto shifter matter everAlso when I called the Auto air and heating the first time when my engine gave out he only gave me a quote on a USA engine and how much it would cost to replace it, never said it might need anything else when they checked it outPlus after we picked up the car from the shop now it seems like after they worked on it everything else now is going wrong with it, ain't that funnySo I took it to another mechanic so he could look at it and that mechanic said that who ever put the new engine in the car screwed up the tie rods, and the engine mounts, and the auto shifter, the mechanic said that is what is causing it to jerk
That mechanic I talked to said the tie rods should never go bad, unless who ever put the engine tore them up when installing the new engine, or taking out the old one.
I called Auto air and heating on May 2, on Friday, and left a message and told *** at Auto air and heating that they was going to fix the problem that they had caused free of charge, and to please call us backThey never called us back.
We called made a appointment for them to fix the problem with the Auto shifter, on the 9th of May, They have never called us back to confirm the appointment.

I am writing in response to the complaint ID ***We at Auto Air & Heating Incworked on Mr& Mrs***'s vehicle on 5/9/replacing an internal transmission part called a transducer pressure switch that Mrs*** is referring to as an auto shifterThis part is a wear & tear item and was not damaged by our shop but from the use of the transmission_ The stated vehicle was initially brought in for engine problemsWe were not instructed to look at any other issues other than the engineTie rods are noted in the letter from Mrs*** these are a wear & tear item and can not be damaged from the removal or installation of an engine due to the engine being removed and
installed from the upper side of the vehicleWe as a reputable shop in turn agreed to pay for the part & labor of the transducer pressure switch and having the said vehicle leave our shop in good working orderWe have done everything to accommodate and fix the problem Mr & Mrs *** have had with the stated vehicleAnd have the understanding that everything is fine with the vehicle since these repairsWe received the initial letter from Revdex.com on 5/2/and responded to it and to the customer about the stated issueWe ordered and had the part in our shop before the customers scheduled appointment,we also had the customers vehicle back in the shop within five business days of being notified trying to resolve the stated issue at handThe customer stated we did not call back after a message was left on 5/2/but yet the customer stated they had an appointment on 5/9/This vehicle was dropped off to
us for this repair on 519/This drawls my attention as to how the ***'s could have an appointment on 5/9/and show up for this appointment if they had not spoken with someone from our shopThe repairs have been completed and the vehicle returned to Mr& Mrs*** with out further issueWe look at this issue has been resolved in a professional & timely manner

We advised Mr. [redacted] of the estimated cost and explained there maybe additional parts that may need to be replaced. We explained we will be using three existing original parts connecting the LKQ engine to the vehicle. On March 4, 2014 Mrs. [redacted] dropped the stated vehicle off for additional repairs including installation of outer tie rods and a front end alignment per a written estimate. At this time Mrs. [redacted] advised the vehicle would jerk when shifting into fourth gear. Upon our inspection we found a weak motor mount and replaced it however, we could not duplicate the said shifting issue. On April 24, 2014 Mrs. [redacted] dropped off said vehicle again stating the same shifting issue the vehicle was inspected & test drove again, we were still unable to duplicate the said customer concern but, found excessive engine movement when shifting vehicle from drive to reverse. We advised Mr. [redacted] at this time of weak motor mounts & agreed to pay for one motor mount in good faith. After the said motor mount was replaced and upon vehicle test drive we were still not able to duplicate the stated complaint. On April 25, 2014 Mrs. [redacted] brought the vehicle to the shop with again a shifting complaint Mrs. [redacted] asked that we test drive the vehicle with her, after a 10 mile test drive with the customer to no avail was there any duplication of the stated shifting complaint. Mr. [redacted] called the shop on April 28, 2014 and stated we had broken a part called an auto shifter and wanted it replaced and a rental car. [redacted] shop owner, stated we would replace said damaged part, however we could not furnish a rental vehicle as it is not our policy to furnish customers with any type of transportation. After informing the customer we would and will replace the auto shifter at no charge we are still awaiting a reply from the customer.
