We completed an appraisal for bank loan value for Mr [redacted] on a [redacted] ***After receiving the appraisal, he called the office on Wednesday the 29th stating that the value was not high enough to meet his needs and demanding to speak with the appraiser immediatelyOur customer service rep tried to tell him that he could schedule a phone call with the company owner but that he was going to be out of the office during most of the next few daysMr [redacted] was rude and belittled our customer service rep telling him we didn't know what we were doing and that "he probably drove a [redacted] " among other condescending remarks to which our customer service rep replied, "you are doing your best to insult me but I don't care and would like to try to help you anyway"Mr [redacted] had submitted an application to become an agent with our company at the time that he requested an appraisal for usWe had already scheduled a phone call between Mr [redacted] and our company president for Tuesday morningWhen our customer service rep tried to reference the previously schedule phone call in order to allow them to review both items at that time, Mr [redacted] denied submitting the application, claimed his computer was hacked and hung up on our employeeMr [redacted] later emailed customer service and stated that he did want to schedule a time to talk with the owner about the appraisalWe scheduled that for Tuesday afternoon and cancelled the Tuesday morning appointmentWhen the client and our owner spoke, the client expressed his concerns with the appraised value and our appraiser explained our procedureWe can only place a value on the vehicle based on its condition and that a bank loan value is not the fair market value or resale valueBuyers are typically required to put a down payment on the vehicle to protect the bank's interest in case of defaultThe client had indicated to us that the asking price was $ [redacted] but our research and discussions revealed it was much less and it appeared that the client was trying to borrow more money on the car than it was worthAt no time did we reference Mr [redacted] religion and his claim is another example of his attempt to manipulate the situation to control the outcomeSincerely, ~~ Rebecca B***, CAGA Business Manager
