On June 1st of 2016 I stopped in and looked at many vehicles at the dealership. I was with my two young teens, looking for a small SUV, the "vehicle information specialist" -as he called himself - [redacted] Jr, was super sweet and extremely helpful and spent a lot of time with us (thankfully). When the actual salesman- [redacted] came over to talk prices, [redacted] spent the time entertaining my kids and without him I don't think I could've made it through the whole buying process!!!

THANKYOU AUTOBROKERS FOR THE WONDERFUL VEHICLE!!

As for how Auto Brokers deals with any vehicle issues we always ask any customer of ours to bring it in, so we can look it over. Said vehicle we never heard of any issues. Please advise them to make appointment with Auto Brokers.

[redacted] Complaint against Terry Marcantonio,
owner of Auto Brokers, for fraud. Filed 6/17/2015 w/Revdex.com
Update: On June 15th Auto
Brokers towed the car we purchased to [redacted] for repairs. Around the
weekend of July 17th, Auto Brokers “repossessed” the
car from [redacted], over a month later, where it still sat waiting for
repairs which weren't happening due to Auto Brokers telling [redacted] not
to repair the car until the Motor Vehicle investigation was over
(which could take months). We had refused to pay the car payment
because the car was not being repaired, hence it was repossessed from
the repair garage. What does that tell you about the ethics of Terry
Marcantonio? He had to repossess it from the garage!  The car still had numerous issues that needed to be fixed and was not drivable due to a blown brake line.  I would like to reiterate that [redacted] Auto Repair is excellent to deal with and totally trustworthy.  July 20th I filed a complaint with the [redacted] Falls Town Court for Small Claims Court.
All of the following information has
been documented and is available for review.
April 24: Bought [redacted] from Auto Brokers
April 23rd. Next day contacted Auto Brokers (herein
called AB) and informed Danielle that a code light was on and popped
a code for the torque converter (part of the transmission).
AB cleared the code and we drove car home. Code light popped back
on.
April 25: Told Danielle transmission
code light was on again; they said to bring car in on April 27th.
Informed them that the engine light was also on, that also
the driver door mirror fell off the car, and the rear
driver passenger window stopped going up and down, and the driver
door latch wasn't closing properly.
April 27: Delivered car to AB and left
it there. Told Danielle there were oil leaks coming from the
engine and the radiator level coolant light was now on. The
flexpipe (catalytic converter) on the downpipe broke on the
transmission.
April 28: Danielle at AB said for me to
take the car to [redacted] Transmission in [redacted] to
have them look at it. I asked her if she would call ahead to let
them know about the transmission, radiator light, engine light and
oil leaks, and she said yes, they would check that all at the same
time. Drove to [redacted] and they said they could not look at the
car then, but asked us to leave the car so that when their mechanic
was available the car would be also.
May 11: We contacted
[redacted] Transmission and found out they had diagnosed
the car and the transmission needed replacing, plus the mechanic also
said he had a list of problems wrong with the car to give us. I
asked him about the oil leaks/engine light being on, and he said AB
did not ask him to look at that problem. Then they said AB would
have to supply the transmission and they could repair it. We could
take the car home with us if we wanted to pick it up. I contacted AB
to see what they wanted us to do, but they did not get back to us in
time that day. We also asked if the car was safe to drive. They
said yes, just keep fluids in it, which we did.
May 11: AB emailed and said AB was
going to fix the car, so to pick up the car and take it home until
the parts came in. The [redacted] mechanic did not have the list
of problems ready for us to take with us. I emailed Danielle again
at AB and asked if if they were going to be ordering the
transmission, and was it going to be a certified rebuilt or just a
used transmission? I also mentioned that the car should have been
roadworthy when we bought it.
May 12: AB emailed me they were
ordering the turbo transmission and would have the garage check the
oil leaks and radiator problem when they pulled the transmission. I
emailed Danielle back at AB and informed her that the brake
caliper seized up on the car on the way home and there was a bad
burning smell. Danielle at AB emailed me back and said “I'm sorry,
we don't have a mechanic today because they are all off to the
auction”. I wrote back and said I'd check with her on May 13th.
She emailed me back the following:
On
May 12, 2015 12:37 PM, "Danielle H."
<[redacted].com>
wrote:  "Can
you go on line and look at cars on r Web
site www.[redacted].com
and tell me what other cars caught your eye maybe it fast for you to
be put in another car thank u"
May 13: Went to AB and spoke to owner
about switching to another car per Danielle's email, and he said
absolutely not, that the part was ordered and he'd fix it. We
expressed our frustration that it was taking so long to get it fixed.
They told us to keep the car and drive it until the part came in,
that it was safe to drive. They said [redacted] was not going to fix
it, that he had a young guy that was going to do it. They towed it
to [redacted] Auto Repair in [redacted], NY.
May 20: Danielle @ AB called and said
the car was ready to be picked up.
May 21: We picked up the car and the
garage owner said there were numerous leaks but the transmission was
fixed. We asked why he didn't fix the oil leaks or the numerous
other things that needed fixing, and he said all they asked him to
fix was the transmission. He was very upset with AB for not
conveying all that information to him. He had us take the car with
us. On the way home the car was shuddering very badly as if there
were a problem with the transmission. We contacted AB and let them
know that none of the other repairs were done, and the transmission
wasn't driving properly. Danielle at AB emailed me back and said she
talked to the [redacted] garage owner and to drop the car back off at the
garage again. I asked her to let me know what exactly was being
fixed this time, and she said “the oil and to see why the coolant
light was on”. I responded back that the engine light was on too
and that I called [redacted] to see when he wanted us to bring the car in.
He said to bring it in on Tuesday, May 26th because he was
on vacation from Friday, May 22nd until the 26th
due to Memorial Day.
May 23: We contacted AB and said we
were almost in an accident because the brakes completely failed on
the car, went to the floor and was leaking brake fluid all over the
ground. They said they'd tow it Tuesday, May 26th to [redacted].
We expressed that we really wanted the car loan contract broken and
our money refunded.
May 26: AB towed the car to [redacted]. We
showed the tow truck driver the oil and brake fluids all over the
floor of our garage where it had leaked out. Danielle responded and
said that she told the owner my message about wanting our money back
through a text message because he was unavailable.
June 2: Car is still being repaired
but we have heard nothing. I called AB and said we want our money
back and I called the NYS Attorney General's Office, who told us to
file a complaint and they stated that the car should have been
road-worthy prior to being sold, and if repairs were needed, it
should have been done in a timely fashion. Danielle @ AB said she
would ask [redacted] to call us.
June 3: I emailed AB because [redacted] did
not call us to report on progress.
June 4: I emailed AB and said we still
hadn't heard from either them or [redacted] regarding the repairs if they
were done yet, and that it had been 6 weeks at that point, and we
just wanted our money back. We went to [redacted] Auto Repairs and this is
what they said, which I also voice-recorded and saved:
They were having problems with the
ABS and couldn't bleed the brakes.
They said AB had brought them
wrong parts three days in a row and on the 4th day they
gave him the correct parts.
Garage owner said he said he put
new valve cover gaskets on the engine to stop the oil leaks.

He said the brake caliper he put
on was not working properly and it had been a nightmare getting a
new part from Browns. They pulled the wrong one 3 days in a row,
and on the 4th day they gave him one that's not working.
The radiator sensor had a broken
radiator wire and he replaced that so was hoping that it would fix
the radiator coolant problem.

He fixed the driver door latch.
The rear tire still needed to be
replaced – said it shouldn't have passed inspection.
Check engine light is still on for
the exhaust leak. He fixed the exhaust the best could because AB
wouldn't get him a new down pipe, they told him to work with what he
had.

He hadn't taken it on the highway
yet to see if the transmission was still shuddering.

He apologized for not calling;
they were working on the car but busy.

He said unfortunately when he has
to go through them for parts, unfortunately he can only go as fast
as AB get them to him.
He said getting parts from a junk
yard was an issue.
He said he didn't have any clue
where AB got the transmission from.

Said maybe the transmission
vibration was really coming from the tire that needed to be
replaced, but he wanted to take it down the road to see what it was
doing and hadn't had time.
The drive shaft had come unhooked
so maybe it's the U joint in that.

June 8 – AB called and said they were
replacing the tire on the car and we should hear from them the next
day to pick up the car. I said I still wanted my money back, and she
said the owner said no.
June 9 – I called AB and Danielle had
been fired. They said they would call me when the car was ready.
June 11 – SEVEN WEEKS have passed
since we purchased the car, and I am typing this and still have no
car and still want my money back. No one has called to report on the
progress of the repair.
June 12 – Picked up the car from Auto
Brokers. The ABS light was on and the brake light was flashing, and
later the engine light came on for the 02 Sensor. Auto Brokers said
to call [redacted] and find out if they could look at it again. [redacted] said to
bring it to their repair shop on Monday and it was safe to drive.
June 14 – Had to call [redacted] tow truck
to tow the car to Auto Brokers because the engine was spewing oil and
thick greyish-blue clouds of smoke was pouring out from under the
hood. Alot of oil was leaking on ground.
June 15 – Auto Brokers towed car to
[redacted] Auto Repair.
June 16 – We called Auto Brokers to
find out status of the car, and Skye told us to call [redacted] to find out.
Called [redacted] and [redacted], the owner, said that he was not working on it
anymore until he was paid. Auto Brokers was not paying him for work
he was doing and he had informed Auto Brokers that he could not do
anymore repairs until payment was received for past due invoices.
Our car is sitting in the lot. He said he would be witness if we
wanted to take Terry of Auto Brokers to Small Claims Court. I
recorded our conversation where he said Auto Brokers is ripping
people off; he has three cars from there right now that have problems
where people had bought them recently from Auto Brokers.
June 17 – [redacted] Auto Repair gave me a
statement saying that they would not work on any more cars from Auto
Brokers until money had been paid to [redacted] for repairs previously done
for Auto Brokers. My car is sitting in the lot unrepaired. I filed
a complaint with the [redacted] County Sheriff's Department in [redacted] against Terry Marcantonio. Sheriff [redacted] contacted Mr.
Marcantonio and Marcantonio was very indifferent to the situation
when speaking to the Officer and did not take the situation
seriously, He lied and said the car was being fixed, and said the
repair garage was lying about being owed money by Auto Brokers, per
the Officer. Officer [redacted] contacted the District attorney's
investigator, who in turn contacted the investigator for the NYSDMV.
Sheriff [redacted] said for me to forward him more information. I also
received names of customers who are upset with Auto Brokers due to
the same type of situation happening to them.July 17th or thereabouts - Auto Brokers repossessed the car from [redacted] Auto due to nonpayment by myself.  Enough is Enough!  We want our money back.July 20th - Filed complaint with Small Claims Court in [redacted].
There are more listed on the statement
from [redacted] Auto Repair, but [redacted] did not have their contact info. He
also detailed the number of cars that they have repaired since May
for Auto Brokers. He has other cars from Auto Brokers customers on
his repair lot right now he will not fix until paid by Auto Brokers.
We want the sales contract broken with
Auto Brokers so that we are able to purchase another vehicle from
someone else, with $1700 refunded to us for money paid to Auto
Brokers so far.  We feel he has broken the contract by not providing a roadworthy car.
