Took car in for repair because it was making a knocking noise.Repair man took it for two days,picked it up and was told it was ready too go.Car was making a knocking noise,repair man, he said it was low on oil,I changed it the day before. I picked it up and it sounded worse so I asked him what the deal ws he said it will have the knock but oil change should keep it to I slight tap.By the time I drove two miles S rod blew a piece of metal the size of a 50 cent piece.Desired SettlementAll I want is a refund.And will never use them againBusiness Response MR [redacted] brought his 2004 saturn ion in to our shop on 03/13/14 wanting me to:-Change the oil-Repair hood latch-Repair mirror-Stop oil leak-Locate knocking soundWe were able to perform the above services but the knocking sound which I told him was probably due to oil starvation from the oil leak. He got his car on the 14th and later called to ask why I charged him for oil change when he just changed the oil himself the day before? I told him he asked me to and that only one quart of oil came out of the engine. He asked for the oil back,I offered to refund what I charged for oil change. He said not to bother he was okay.The following day he called that the knocking noise got louder and it "threw a rod", that I should have known that was going to happen.Mr [redacted] called back the day after to ask for my address, we never had any argument and he never made any demands to show that he was upset enough to complaint to the Revdex.com. Mr [redacted] and his family have been great customers over the years, I would have easily met his demand if he had asked me.
