My husband and I financed a 2003 Acura TL 9/12/12 for 7,000.00. With a down payment of 2000.00 the balance that we were to pay was 5,000.00. We agreed to make monthly payment of 300.00 for a total of 16 months. We are now in the 19th month of payments, with a principal remaining balance of 1614.55 according Mr. [redacted] who financed the vehicle on his buy here pay here lot.After the purchase of the car numerous issues arrived and my husband and myself did get the minor repairs done, until several months later the transmission went out. I then asked Mr. [redacted] to take a look and quote me a price to have it replaced, we were quoted 2400.00 with 1200.00 up front and the remaining to go on the back end of the principal balance. The car was then taken to another auto shop to have the transmission replaced, After a week of repairs the car was returned to us in what we thought was good condition. Soon After the car was delivered my husband and I along with our baby who was less than a year at that time were driving out vehicle when the transmission and the entire motor fell to the pavement. Frustrated we contacted Mr. [redacted] and explained what indeed had happened and he sent the vehicle back for the repairs. while they did repair their own mistakes of not properly securing the engine I was then charged for repairs that we were told they found during the inspection. We were never informed that those repairs would be done and that we would be charged for them, when it was the mistake of the laborer. To add insult to injury We have not seen a receipt since 7/15/13 I make payments via phone and do not receive an emailed receipt witch I have asked for countless times. When I attempted to pay the car off November 2013 the balance was 1700.00 now I asked for a balance on 5/24/14 and I was told that my balance was 1614.55. So I am contacting you because I feel as if I am being scammed after I purchased a lemon. This man prays on people who can not finance from a back and jacks up the prices on the lemons that he sells.Business Response I am very disappointed with the truthfulness of this customer. I financed her when no one else would due to her poor credit record.([redacted]) She says her engine and transmission fell out and hit the ground. Thats something I have never seen or heard of on any car .That shows the extent of her gross misrepresenting the facts. She also forgot to tell you she drove the car 25,000 miles in 6 months before the transmission failed.She also forgot to tell you that nearly all of her payments were late and I had grounds to repo the car several times. I asked here to come by yesterday and review her balance...after showing her the numbers she agreed I was correct. When I ask her to correct her complaint on Revdex.com, she said "well maybe....I still don't like the way you hasselled me for my payments"
