vehicle in monthsHow could anyone determine it was bad motor when sold to her considering that amount of mileage was put on it in that short of timeWe were willing as a Good Will gesture to have this vehicle looked at in our garage and even help with the bill as far as putting some on her account but she would have to come up with part of the cost and her account would have to be brought current, she wanted no parts of this offerWe feel we owe her nothing and that this case is closedIf any further concerns please call at the above number.Thank you, Melissa M

I am rejecting this response because: At no moment  did they ever offer my partner for me to take it to shop. I was on the other line . They just don't know it. It was never offered. I'm a single mother who needs her car. I have to work to provide for my son. Times our tough for me. And I pay every time I have the money to do so. Car is burning oil. Not a good sign . All I would like to do is trade for a more reliable car. I don't have a down payment now. Until taxes come in unfortunately . I pray to god they don't take this car from me. Cause I will then be living in the street with my son cause I cant go to work and provide for him.

total of 27543 miles put on this vehicle in 7 months. How could anyone determine it was bad motor when sold to her considering that amount of mileage was put on it in that short of time. We were willing as a Good Will gesture to have this vehicle looked at in our garage and even help with the bill as far as putting some on her account but she would have to come up with part of the cost and her account would have to be brought current, she wanted no parts of this offer. This is the poorest run place there us no customer service you get hung up on I spend 320 a month the check engine light is on only had maybe 2 months refusal to fix it went to make a payment lady was rude she didn't ask for my name what kind of car when I started to say something she hung up on me really

could be legally reposed as it is in arrearages. What he was told is that if payments were current that he could take it to our shop and we would be more than happy to look at it and could possibly if something was wrong add to the bill. Review: I went to The Auto Center to have them give me an estimate of how much it would cost to repair my transmission. I told John that my check engine light has been on for about a week, I got the codes for what was wrong with it from another business, told John the codes that showed up, and to call me as soon as he knew what my cost for the repair would be. John did not tell me I was going to be charged for any services at that point. When I received a call back from The Auto Center, they said that the repair was going to be approximately $2,400 to $2,500. I told them that I cannot afford it and will pick up the car immediately. To this point I wasn't told there was any charge. I went to the business to get my keys and they wanted to charge me $56.07 for a half hour of service. I told them that I didn't give them permission to actually look at the car or to begin any services on it. I didn't sign any paperwork that would allow them to look under the hood of my car. [redacted] and [redacted] (the business owner) said that I had to pay the charge or they would have towed it off the lot. I tried reasoning with them that legally they have to tell me before they can do anything to the car, they said that wasn't the law. I didn't authorize anything to be done to the car but they went ahead and performed service without my permission. I felt under duress and pressure to pay them or have to pay to get my car freed from a towing lot. This business only charged me because I refused to have any work done at their shop. The Auto Center said they would get rid of the charge if I changed my mind and replaced my transmission with them. This is not fair business practices because they have to tell me of any charges before they begin any work and held me hostage to pay them once I decided not to have any work done there or they would have had my car towed. They charged my credit card and I left with my keys and will NEVER go near their property again.Desired Settlement: Since I didn't authorize them to put my car on the lift or have any work done to it in the first place, I would like the $56.07 refunded back to my credit card. I simply told John that I wanted to have an estimate of what it would cost to repair the transmission. John NEVER told me that there was any charge at all until I went to go pick up the keys. I have already alerted my credit card company to dispute the charge.
