The customer purchased the car as said on 10/23/After speaking with my staff they informed me that he never asked for a CarfaxWe are not affiliated with Carfax nor is it a requirement for us to offer it, however we do try to provide them
upon requestHad he requested it we would have provided one for himCarfax is also available to the public to do at a reasonable cost that he could have done himselfWhen he came to the lot he asked why the car was so cheap only being sold for $out the door, which included tax/title/doc fee and day temporary tagHe was told that the car had high miles (219497) and that it needed some repairsWe told him in a situation that it has high miles we do not spend any money on the car, we just price it as low as possible and sell it 100% AS ISThe radiator cap was not sealing properly and the oxygen sensor needed replaced that we were definitely aware of and made him aware ofOur mechanic used a scanner to read the check engine light and showed him that it needed an oxygen sensorThe customer left and got a radiator cap and brought it backand installed it on the carThat sealed the radiatorHe said he was aware that the oxygen sensor would need replacedHe was made aware that any repairs were his responsibility 100%The customer took the car on separate test drives to be sure that he liked the car before he purchased itHe spent three hours inspecting and driving the carHe is complaining of black liquid in radiator, he himself replaced the radiator cap before he purchased the carIf there was a black liquid I think he would have noticed itHe also complains of not being able to raise or jack the car up for inspection underneathMy salesman has informed me that he did not ask to jack the car upHe was told that we could put the car on our rack in the garage and he said not to worry about it because he already took it to his brothers house and had him look it overThis customer would not have bought a car if all these things hes claiming were trueAs far as the car not going over miles per hour the next day, I tried to explain to him that the oxygen sensor which we told him it needed before he purchased it could cause the symptoms it was havingI advised him that it was sold 100% AS IS and that per Ohio Law we are not allowed to offer free services on something sold AS ISI offered to give him a discounted rate if he'd like us to look at itHe had nothing good to say and made several threats to me and the companyHe also called several times after hours making threats on the answering machineHe has been seen driving around since then by several of my employees with doing much more than the mph that he's complaining that the car is restricted toHe actually drove through our lot doing mph or moreI have advised Akron Police of the problems with this customer and they are aware he is not welcome at our businessIf he comes back after the threats he will be arrestedWe pride ourselves in selling over cars per year and do everything possible to keep every customer happyThere are some customers that you just can't seem to make happyWe've done everything possible and there is no making him happyI have all the signed documents that he signed stating it was 100% AS IS and will fax them in

Today, 11/13/15, my wife called this dealer to ask for the titleHis response was that he had days to provide it and will not allow her to pick it up at his businessHe stated she nor I are permitted at his business per APD however we have not been advised as such by APDMy wife reminded him of her asking about a car fax on the day of delivery and he responded it is not his responsibility to provide one and he did not have to tell Revdex.com that one was asked for while his response to Revdex.com states it was notAn insurance claim has been filed for an accident involving this vehicleMy wife told the business owner this and explained the necessity of having a titleHe repeatedly informed her the conversation was being recorded and he will do nothing until daysThe title bureau has given us a BMV investigation phone number and advised reporting this business for their conduct should we not receive the title in a day time frame

His wife did call and was advised that the title would be mailed to herBecause of the threatening phone calls Akron Police were made aware of the problems we were having with the customer and his wifeThey advised us that if they showed up to call them and they would be arrestedI passed this information on to the wife and she got really madThe title was ran into the customers name on Nov19th and mailed that dayWe have done nothing wrong by mailing the titleWe were simply trying to avoid confrontationThey received the title within the allowed timeThey are doing anything they can to cause unnecessary problemsThey have received their title and there should be no more contact between either side from this point forward
