ATTACHED IS A COPY OF TITLE (NOT SALVAGE) AND A *** THAT SHOWS (NO ACCIDENT). MANY TIMES PEOPLE WOULD GO TO OTHER INSTITUTES TO BUY A VEHICLE AND GET THEIR HEADS FILLED WITH TOTAL NON-SENSE. FACTS ARE ATTACHED TO THIS RESPONSE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I CAN ASSIST THE Revdex.com IN ANY
OTHER WAY

Review: I purchased a 2008 [redacted] from Auto City and noticed that the check engine light was prior to purchase. Spoke with sales manager and was guaranteed that the issue, either the EVAP line or EVAP canister, would be taken care of. I was told to bring the car back the following Friday so it could be fixed. I took the car in the following Friday and was told it was one of two parts so they were going to start with the first part and see if that fixed the problem. After getting the car back about 7 hours later, the EVAP line was replaced, the check engine light was off. I proceed to drive it over the next few days and the check engine light came back on, so I called them and they told me to bring it back that it must be the other part, the EVAP canister. I was told at one point that the part, EVAP canister was really expensive, but they would get it fixed so I was to bring it back that Friday. I proceed again to take the car in and they had it another 7 hours and once again I picked it up. Again, over the next few days the check engine light came on again. I called back and again I was told to bring it back in. Took it back the next Friday and waited this time for it to be fixed. I was not sure what they were fixing this time because as I stated they told me it was one of two problems. After getting the car back for the third time a few days went by and the check engine light came back on. I just took my vehicle to the [redacted] dealership because I was tired of the check engine light being on. After a diagnostic was done it was found that the EVAP canister needed to be replaced. The part that was on the car was a EVAP canister for a [redacted]. I paid $917 to get my car fixed through [redacted]. I went by Auto City today to speak with them about this and I got nothing but excuse after excuse about what happened. Basically their story changed 3 times and some how they never replaced that part. All I am asking for is for them to pay me back for the repairs, I believe this is only fair.Desired Settlement: I paid $917 to get my car repaired and I am asking that Auto City reimburse me for the repairs that they say they fixed 3 times.

Response:

Mr [redacted] did purchase a [redacted] vin [redacted] from AutoCity on 08/17/12..a check engine lite did come on after the sale which we did take care of it and passed emissions.. We did offer a warranty for 30 days or 1000 miles. which has currently expired.. I have attached the paper work and an invoice number where the parts where purchased from our local Nissan dealer, customer is coming after the Expired warranty time for reimbursement which is not acceptable. Let us know if any other document are needed.

Thank you

Response:

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

The check engine light was on in the car prior to purchase and was told that they would fix it. We took the vehicle to them three times for them to fix it and the proper repair was not done. When we spoke with them prior to contacting the Revdex.com they gave us three different stories from the dealership sending the wrong part to this is not the part that they fixed. They know they are in the wrong but don't want to admit that they took advantage of me. If all the people who I dealt with were not fired they would tell the truth about what happened. I reject what they have said because again they are not taking the responsibility that they should.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from auto city ten days later my wife totaled the vehicle. My insurance covered the amount financed $16,800 plus interest. At this point auto city was paid in full. Vehicle cost, tax, tag, title, processing ect. Was a total of $16,800. On top of the price of the vehicle I was obligated by my fiance co jp morgan chase to buy a service contract for $2000 and gap for $800. After my insurance paid off chase in full the insurance company I had service and gap through sent back my gap and service money to the dealership auto city. Auto city cashed these checks never mentioning them to me,my finance co, or my insurance company. They returned the $800 from gap but they said it was an accident that someone refunded my gap refund that was not authorized. Now after alot of lying and he said she said a guy in finance jay offered to give me back $500.00 not $2000 for my service contract refund. I see it being them keeping money that does not belong to them.Desired Settlement: A refund of $2000
