Auto Clinic Two Reviews (1)
Review: On 9/11/2014 I took my 1989 [redacted] in for a smog check. I was quoted $40. I was there for about 2 hours. After about 45 minutes a man came into the waiting room and informed me there was an issue and that it would cost me $50 to $100 more to repair. After another 1hr plus he returned and said I had major trouble and that it would cost me between $300 and $400 to repair. I had just purchased the truck and because the seller was responsible for the smog I told him I would have to check with him first.Previous owner had it smoked in November of 2013 and no problems. Asked if I would take it elsewhere. I agreed and took it to [redacted] at [redacted]. Total charge of $55. on 9/18/2004 Could not get it done sooner as I work days. Passed and certified. Because of the $$$ quoted from Auto Clinic I went there and talked to the person and they said the owner would call and discuss. I waited until 9/29/14 and called talked to [redacted] or [redacted] and was told the owner was on vacation due back on 9/30/14. Called again and was told he was not in today and would be in on 10/2/14.Left a message with [redacted] at 11:55 AM on 10/02/2014 and he would talk to the owner. I requested a refund of the $31.75 I was charged because I felt they had tried to charge me for repairs not necessary to get vehicle smog. If I had left my truck there the $$$$ they would have charged me for repairs not needed!!! We all make mistakes but I think this is a bit over the top. Thank you, [redacted]t.Desired Settlement: Return of $31.75.
