We completely understand their frustration...

with the situation and appreciate the opportunity to learn from this experience and clear up any confusion. ChefSteps began taking preorders for our product in November 2015 to gauge customer interest and estimate initial manufacturing volume, but not to fund development or operations. Our customers' money remains untouched during the preorder period/until their order ships, and customers are welcome to request immediate and full refunds at any time per the FAQs on our website:1. When I preorder Joule, when will my credit card be charged?2. I'd like a refund. We've taken pains to be as transparent as possible in communicating the fact that Joule was available for preorder and not immediate delivery - this information is included on the website and in the confirmation email every customer receives. Joule is also not currently available for sale anywhere outside of our website (such as [redacted]), and we would never intentionally withhold product or be deceptive about availability. When the customer reached out to us regarding a cancellation of their order, they simply mentioned that they did not realize it would take time to ship and we responded within 24 hours and issued a full refund immediately. Ultimately, we completely understand being less than pleased with the fact that an order was placed and not immediately shipped - especially if the customer was unaware that they were purchasing an item as a preorder. We truly appreciate the feedback and the opportunity to improve based on the customer taking the time to share their side of the story with the Revdex.com. Please do not hesitate to let me know if I may be of any further assistance or provide any additional information.Best,Ellen K[redacted]

I m responding to the letter...

you sent about a complaint from [redacted]. I did a complete paint job with body work.. I used base coat clear coat two stage paint from  Dupont. The clear I used is a high quality  [redacted]... . when he dropped off his truck he handed me a list of other items to repair  on the truck.  of which were not included in the initial estimate. My accountant has the invoice for now. Some of the added items were  new door pins and bushing and replace front bumper and order misc, parts for tail gate and labor to install . A another added expense he wanted me to address was to call a steering repair mechanic to replace his turn signal switch.. which was a sublet item only. I took  several photos of the process and the finished product. the truck looked  fine and the customer loved it. H e did come back a month later and pulled his truck  sideways in driveway . And neither one of could see any imperfections at that time.. I told him to call back in a month to let the paint fully cure.. He left one message with no phone number.. So I was just waiting to hear back from him. That is when I started finding Fliers bad mouthing my name and stating my paint jobs are [redacted]. and he should have went to [redacted]. Demanding all his money back.
If he in the mean time, if he has tried to buff his truck himself, he has now  caused the swirls he wants me fixed.. I have photos or the finished product and copies of the fliers he has placed up and down my street..
My offer stands to have the truck paint job waxed. I just talked to [redacted] at [redacted] at [redacted] [redacted]. he said he could do a polish and wax  for a 100 dollars. which I would be willing to pay for.

Thanks.

Dear Revdex.com...  My name is [redacted] . the owner of Autocolor. I m also the doing the work on Mr. [redacted].s car. his car in back in my shop to install OEM parts that [redacted] has approved to pay for. including new fender and headlight. I want to take the time to address some of the issues that [redacted] is stating wrong with his repairs . 1. The ac on vw jetta's sometimes do not blow cold till the car RPM "s reach 2000/ I did have the mechanic shop next to me evacuate and recharge system again and seems to be blowing cold.. 2. the coolant level in his car is not extremely low.!! I have explained this to [redacted] several times . I opened the hood and showed him the coolant level is right between the MIN. line and MAX. line. it just looks low because it is a small round container but it needs room in the top of the reservoir for hot fluid to flow into it.. he seems to understand that.. As far as mileage . I did take it on two test drives to make sure the air was out of the radiator, since  that had to be drained for the repairs.. I Drove it to carefree highway and back ..which is about 20 miles  and just before I delivered I drove it about three miles..  total maybe 25 miles..  I explained that to him ..   the piece of plastic under mirror is factory. it is on both sides. it is old and is slowly detreirating from heat over the years.. I flaked off some of the little pieces hanging out. I do want to tear it off because it is attached to water proof sticky rubber that keeps water from running into mirror electrical system..3. The fan staying on ... The cooling fans that stay on after car has been shut off...  If the car is running at operational temperature for a while ,, the fans will stay on especially if the AC has been running. the cooling fans run off a temperature control module and will stay on after the car is shut off till it cools down . that is normal..  . I did install new cooling fans .  Lastly the paint defects were small and are being addressed when I repaint the new parts being repainted on the car.. Signed ... [redacted]..  any questions please call me at ###-###-####..

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Dirt in paint. Headlight isn't installed correctly. Gaps and spaces. Not OEM.. Same...  Headlight..Empty coolant reservoir!!! Awesome!! My car is going to overheat and explode on me.. No wonder the fan stayed running for 5-10 minutes after shutting off the car... Cheap part that doesn't fit the car.. Same... Cheap parts that don't fit. Bumper not installed correctly. Doesn't fit. Look at that. It's protruding a half inch! Cheap part that doesn't fit. Fender/side rail spacing. Fender doesn't fit. Protruding a quarter inch or more. Random dirt in paint and pieces of plastic hanging from mirror. Visible, tangible paint drips. Door skin isn't installed correctly. Gaps... Door skin is recessed at least 1/4"Bumper isn't painted or installed correctly.Hood/Fender spacing is way off. Goes from less than 1/8" at top to over 3/8" at bottom of /fender/hood joint. Bumper doesn't fit. Isn't painted properly. I can't take a picture of my AC not working correctly. Please take my word for it. I do have a video of my fan running for 10 minutes after the car was turned off... That had never happened before and I've owned the car since 09...   I can prove he put the mileage on the odometer. The [redacted] claims adjuster took the exact mileage the day I got the first check from them. I only drove the car STRAIGHT TO his shop. It's an 8 mile drive from my house..  He's not an honest man. He lied about the mileage. Then made me sign something saying he didn't do it. I don't feel comfortable taking my car back to him. He broke my AC. He painted so poorly. He took SO MUCH TIME. 25days. It's just unfair as a consumer to have to take it back to him. For all I know, he'll break parts on my car, urinate in my seats, leave me in a worse situation than I'm already in.  Please help me.Regards,[redacted]
