Customer called us because she stated she had drywall people install an exhaust vent/light that burns bulbs quickly and clicks Customer said she believed it was installed incorrectly and wired wrong by her drywall people Our electrician did go into the attic and diagnosed the problem and reported open connections in the attic, an arcing switch and bad connections and gave her a price to correct the entire problem with the fan and the switch, not just the fan, and guarantee all work for one year These charges are all clearly stated on the written estimate Our service professional says the customer stopped him and told him not to replace the trim nor did he do the additional work to replace the fan because she did not want us to do any more work and had an electrician friend who could do it cheaper that was coming to fix everything That said, we must charge for our expertise in finding the problem We do charge for performing the diagnostic work and finding the problems Our service professional was asked to leave the home immediately after giving the price Any existing mess may have been caused by the drywall company the homeowner stated she hired to perform electrical work Although there are many short cuts some companies can take, we believe our price is competitive with other similar electrical contractors providing similar service for the work involved Our pricing is set using a software system that gives every customer the same price for a similar job The accusation of charging women more is unfounded In conclusion, we are displeased that the customer was not happy with Mr Electric We do a lot more service work for a lot more customers than most electrical contractors and are more likely to run into customers wanting us to clean up after unqualified, unlicensed workers However, we do charge what we determine to be competitive prices to diagnose and repair electrical problems All prices are approved prior to work performed In this case our service professional was there for two hours at a cost of $ Nothing more was charged as no additional work was authorized We do not feel this charge was excessive

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

Customer was told up front that there was a $150 emergency fee and a $124 diagnostic. At no time was the customer told we would fix their problem for this cost. We are not willing to put our license on the line as requested.

I am rejecting this response because: The business did not offer for us to pay for the temporary power unless we opted to use them to repair the breakerThe electrician installed the temporary breaker before letting us know that they would not leave the temporary power on unless we agreed to contract through them to replace the breakerThis could have been mitigated had Mr Electric had disclosed their policy upfrontAt the end of the day our breaker and power are fully functional at meets code thanks to Lite it Up Electric, an honest and reliable electrical company.

On April 12, prior to dispatch, Mrs*** was contacted by the on call service professional and made aware of both the $emergency fee and the $diagnostic charge prior to being dispatched to the call. In addition, a telephone call was made to Mr***, who was at the
affected residence, to explain what the service professional thought he could do to possibly get temporary power back on to a live panel, before the storm got too bad so we could discuss options. Our service professional was in fact able to, and did install a temporary breaker to restore power and bypass the damaged breaker connection. The problem was diagnosed and it was understood between both parties that a new panel (main service) was necessary to permanently resolve the problem. Customer was given a quote of $to make the necessary repairs which involve much more than a breaker. Customer informed our service professional that he already had a quote from another company around $but was unable to reach them after several attempts. Note that there was a very dangerous storm at the time. Customer threatened us with a complaint to the Revdex.com if they had to pay more than $including the emergency fee, diagnostic and temporary power and. We refused and collected the emergency and diagnostic fee. We were not paid to leave the customer with temporary power nor were we paid to do so. We are responsible for the safety of any electrical work we perform. We were not willing to accept the responsibility for providing temporary power that the customer or a different contractor may or may not complete in a safe mannerWe were not aware that the customer had been told of and given a quote to correct this situation prior to calling us. While the customer is free to use who they wish, they were aware of the $and $fees prior to our agreement to come out that late at night in a dangerous storm. The customer was also aware that we were not willing to take the responsibility for the temporary connection after which we had no control. Therefore we removed the temporary breaker. The customer was not charged for nor did they pay for temporary power. At no time did we agree to restore power or accept responsibility for temporary power for $124. Our quote was for much more than a breaker and we are not willing to perform substandard work at any cost.We hope this clarifies matters. Tell us why We understand that you were not satisfied with the level of service we provided.  According to our customer service representative and our service professional who provided the services, you were dissatisfied because we would not write a statement for your insurance company that...

you had damage from a lightning strike.  Our technician tested the outlets and light fixtures and no damage was found that we could confirm.  It was requested by you that we put the claimed damage down on our findings but to do so could be defrauding an insurance company, which our company is not willing to do.  We do apologize for the late response time.  Our manager has not “actively avoided” you.  Unfortunate family matters did delay our response.  Phone calls were returned upon return to the office.  We know that you are upset but we cannot put claims down that we did not, or were not, able to find upon inspection.Because you were dissatisfied with our service and findings, your VISA has been refunded the $200.26 that you spent with our company. here...

I am rejecting this response because: what he says was defective was not true. He diagnosed the whole thing wrong. I had another electrician come in and found it was just the bottom plate where you screw the light bulb in was flattened, none of his claims. The other electrician tested all wiring and he said there was no wiring problems. It was just where the light bulb was screwed in and all he had to do was pry the bottom plate up slightly. I don't appreciate being lied to.

I am rejecting this response because: Mr Electric DID NOT inform the customer that they would place a temporary breaker and restore power ONLY if the customer agreed to contract Mr Electric to replace the breaker panel for $3000. The request was made to restore power, the technician stated he could provide a temporary breaker, the temporary breaker was installed then removed when we did not agree to contract Mr Electric to replace the breaker for almost $3000, however Mr Electric was paid in full for the service call and to tell the customer what they had already informed the electric company when we called their after hour service. You can not Strongarm a customer into paying your high prices. The company did not provide full disclosure.

My 1994 Jeep Wrangler would not start. I was getting no spark anywhere in the ignition system, and none of the warning lights in the dash would light up. I sent these folks my PCM to have checked and repaired if needed.
When I received it back it looked like brand new. I installed it and my Jeep fired right up and all lights are working properly.
I think a lot of people automatically assume their computer is at fault. Todays vehicles are so complex, so many things can be at fault, not just the computer.
They did an excellent job. Thank you!
