Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
*** ***This is the mentallity I am dealing with Not an honest person that cares He never did say why they couldn't take the stains out and I can I think I have to take him to court if he is not willing to take responsibility and make it good There is always the Atty Gen.also.thank you***

Auto Depot is sorry to hear you were not satisfied with the services that we provided you withFrom our recollection you had just bought the car and we had discussed the possibilities of the stains not being able to be removed and you agreed, but after we had done the detail you returned the
following dayAs we had discussed, if the stains returned we would re-shampoo the seatsYou were satisfied then and agreed that we had done all we could to make the car as stain free as possibleThe price of was with the tax included and you agreed that the price was fair for the condition of the carWe strive to be the best in what we do and our employees perform with the utmost respect to all our customers

I bought carpet cleaner and spot tested some areas in the upholstery and it came clean.  Also the safety straps were filthy and I could get those cleaner than what Auto Depot did.  If I can take my own stains out with over the counter product why can't Auto Depot take out stains with all the fancy and large cleaning machines  and product that they have.  This is supposed to be their business.  WHAT ARE THEY CHARGING SO MUCH FOR, IF THEY CAN'T DO THE JOB.I never said I was happy with their work.  If I had been happy,  why would I file a complaint to Revdex.com?  The answer is, I would not have filed a complaint.  Also If I was sooo very happy, why did I go back for them to do the job  over again. They obviously don't value their customers, or take pride in their work.  I certainly will NOT recommend them to friends or family.  I intend on taking  this further.  I feel I am in the right and deserve better.  The stains is not the only bad job they did.  It is a TOTAL RIP OFF.It is TOO BAD that they don't feel the customer is right.  Lots of business do. They have Very bad business ethics.

We are sorry to hear that you are still unsatisfied with our service. Due to the fact that you came back the following day to address some minor stains that remained and we had re-shampooed those stains it leaves us wondering why it took 90 days to address any further issues. We strive for 100% satisfaction but we are only human and do the best to our ability.

We shook hands and that is the last we have heard from the customer.Consumer Response I purchased a 2006 Cadillac cts on 8/25/2016 dro e vehicle on 9/08/2016 it broke down on me on 9/9/16 I. I did respond to the last letter which was the original complaint filed by Mr. [redacted]. We resolved that matter by putting him in an alternate vehicle. Customer did call and say his car had broken down a couple weeks later, and I noted that he had put about 1500 miles on the car in that time. I sent a wrecker to bring in his vehicle and after inspecting it, my mechanic said the engine was going to need to be replaced. I called customer and his mom, and told them we were going to put an engine in it at no cost to them and it would be comparable in age and miles to the one that was in it. At this point, customer's mom was doing all the talking and she said they didn't want a vehicle with a used motor in it. I explained that we could not put a new motor in the vehicle unless they shared in the cost. She said they would not take it back with a used motor in it, and said she was seeking legal counsel. That is the last I heard from our customer or his mom. The customer signed a buyer's guide with "as is" prominently displayed on it. We were under no legal obligation to do anything, but we were offering the good will of our company to help resolve this issue. We will still put a used engine in this vehicle for the customer if they will accept it back. We sold the vehicle in good faith, it had no engine issue at the time of purchase. It's a ten year old vehicle and again it was running properly when customer purchased it. Sincerely,[redacted]Auto Depot Inc.XXX-XXX-XXXX

Service problems I was not made aware of at the time of purchase. These problems not covered under warranty, but were there when I bought the car.Car purchased on 10/31/2013, with a total of $1500 down payment. When I was leaving the check engine light came on, I called back after putting fuel and he said to bring the car back and he could get the light off or maybe I didn't do the gas cap tight. The light went off. The check engine light came back on and the car started jerking when I take off or I would get a bump when I applied the brakes. I called the dearlership and they said I should have the car checked out and the 3 month or 3000 mile warranty covered major parts. I did take it to the Nissan dealership (its made my nissan) and I was informed the warranty did not cover what was wrong. It was minor servicing problems because the car had a lot of miles and the dealerships don't normally put a lot of time and money in repairs. The car is leaking oil around the oil pan, the transmission fluid is dirty and was low. The oil had not been changed. These are considered general maintenance issues that cost approximately $250 to $300. I took my car in for diagnostic testing and to be repaired and this is what I was told. I took the car to [redacted] in Goldsboro on December 11 and picked it up after work on December 12 without any repairs being made. I was charged $90 for that test.Today, (Friday, 12/13/2013) I called [redacted] at Autodepot in Farmville, and he was not pleasant at all, frankly quite rude after he got my down payment. I have not made the first payment and I'm suppose to pay approximately $250 - $300 for some repairs that should have been taken care of before he sold me the car. It did not say "AS IS", it said it had a warranty. He offered for me to bring the car in and leave it and I would be responsible for 1/2 of the repairs. Then he said he could not give me an appointment, I had to leave the car, that I could not wait, because he works on to many cars. I tried to explain to him I work Monday-Friday, but would be willing to schedule a full day off. Honestly, I don't feel I should have to pay anything on those repairs. He fixed the repairs like he inspect those cars. He told me my car had been inspected and serviced. He also stated "they inspect their own cars". The car I bought would not have passed inspection, because the tires on the front were bald, but...he had passed it. When I brought this to his attention he sent me over to some tire place for two new tires on my way home. He was gonna let me leave with those bald tires, but luckily the person I had with me was checking the car out as well. I belive they knew that car was like that, they just fixed it up long enough and thought It would last for a few months and the warranty would be out. [redacted] also said if my car was not leaking a lot of oil, It was not as bad as the technician said and also he didn't go on what they said...because they are always higher, maybe so, but your car will be fix right. Everyone there was all nice until I called back with a problem. This is minor all they had to do was service the car right. I thought they were fairly good people until I called today (Friday, 12/13/13) and got a rude awakening from the general manager.Desired SettlementService the car (change transmission fluid, change the oil and fix the leak somewhere around the oil pan.Business Response /[redacted]/IN RESPOSE TO CASE #XXXXXXXX CUSTOMER DID IN FACT CALL ME ON FRIDAY DEC. 13TH... WITH HER CONCERNS, I DID IN FACT ASK HER TO BRING AND DROP OFF AS SO MY SHOP CAN ACCESS HER COMPLAINTS...SHE TOOK TO A NISSAN FRANCHISE AS I TOLD HER THEY WOULD LIKE TO CHARGE FOR MAINTANCE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY OUR WAARANTY AS WELL AS A NEW NISSAN WARRANTY.. MAINTANCE ITEMS ARE AT CUSTOMER EXPENSE FROM ANY MANUFACTORS INLESS SPECIFIED FOR A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME ESPECIALLY NOT ON A 10 YEAR OLD VEHICLE.... OUR WARRANTY CLEARLY STATES THAT IT IS A POWERTRAIN WARRANTY ONLY TO COVER MAJOR MECHANICAL ISSUES FOR 90 DAYS.... HER ITEMS TO ME WERE MINOR SO I DID IN FACT ASK HER TO DROP OFF AND WE WOULD ACCESS THE ISSUES...BUT SHE WOULD HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COST OF REPAIRS AS IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER POWERTRAIN COVERAGE,,, I DIDNT HAVE TO OFFER THAT HOWEVER WE HAVE BEEN IN BUISINESS 30 YEARS AND NOW AND THEN YOUR GONNA HAVE ISSUES THAT ARISE THAT YOU HAVE TO STEP OUT OF THE BOX AND HANDLE... I DONT KNOW HOW SHE COULD BE MAD WHEN I OFFERED TO HELP PRIOR TO HER FILING A COMPLAINT AND I FEEL THE OFFER WAS FAIR AND WENT BEYOUND WHAT HER CURRENT COVERAGES WERE ON THE VEHICLE...AS FAR AS SERVICE IM A PRIVATE SHOP AND DONT AND CANT SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS IT HAS TO BE LEFT AND WORKED IN HOWEVER IT WOULD OF BEEN IN A TIMELY MANNER... AS FAR AS EVERYONE RUDE AFTER THE SALE OUR ATTITUDES ARE THE SAME BEFOR AND AFTER THE SALE HOWEVER IF YOU DONT BEND OVER BACKWARDS FOR SOME CUSTOMERS AND THEY GET EVERYTHING THERE WAY THEN WE ARE THE BAD GUYS, REMEMBER WE WOULD NOT OF STAYED IN BUSINEES FOR 30 YEARS IF WE DIDNT LOOK OUT FOR OUR CUSTOMERS AS WE HAVE DONE AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO.... THANKS YOU..Final Consumer Response /[redacted]/(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not agree, I strongly think these issues should have been taken care of before the car was sold. He did ask me to drop the car off, he did not offer a loaner or anything. The car was my only source of transportation to and from work. He was not willing to work with me on that. He stated the car had been serviced, apparently there is something more going on if it needs to be serviced within 45 days of purchase. I do not agree to what he proposed. Final Business Response /[redacted]/MY STANCE IS THE SAME AS RESPONDING TO ORIGINAL COMPLAINT.... NOTHING CHANGED FROM THE TIME THE DEAL WAS MADE... THE WARRANTY OF VEHICLE IS A POWERTRAIN WARRANTY MAJOR MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION... I TRIED TO HANDLE BUT SHE WOULD NOT DROP CAR OFF AND COMPLAINED ABOUT PARTICIPATING IN A NON WARRANTY REPAIR BUT I DID MAKE THE OFFER AS SHE ALSO MENTIONED.. BUT REFUSED...

Failure to honor warranty, poor customer service, no consideration for customer and no decency to return a phone call.On April 24, 2014, I bought a 2006 Volkswagon Passat 2.0T Value Ed, Stock number XXXXX, Serial number WVWAK73C66PXXXXXX with a down payment of 1500 cash from [redacted] at Auto Depot. All paperwork was signed with [redacted] At the time of the purchase the car had 159,650 miles on it. The vehicle came with a 30 day 1000 mile warranty which was supposed to cover motor and transmission. Saturday, May 10, 2014 the car would not start. I tried to jump it thinking maybe it was the battery because there was no power going to the car that did not work so I had to push the car to the local mechanic shop to find out what was going on. It was after hours on Saturday, I had to wait until Monday to push the car to the mechanic shop. I got the car to the mechanic shop, it took them a day before they were able to look at the car. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, the mechanic informed me that the car was going to need a new motor. The mechanic did inform me that he could fix the motor but told me that since I had a warranty on the vehicle and I only had it for two weeks before it broke down, that I should take it back to the car lot and let the car lot honor the warranty and fix the problem. I left the mechanic, called [redacted] informed him of what the mechanic said about the engine and [redacted] told me that if I get the car down there, they would be happy to look at it. I informed [redacted] that the car could not be driven and there was no way for me to get the car down there. I asked [redacted] if he could tow the car he said no. I said to [redacted] that if I was late on my car payment, they would be able to tow it then. All he said to me was if I get it down there, they would be able to look at it. I told him I did not have money to get the car there and since I had only had the car for two weeks, I would think they would be able to provide friendly courteous customer service. This was not the case. I called the finance company, MidEast Acceptance Corp to see if maybe they could help me out with the situation. [redacted], the owner, pretty much told me she could not do anything to help me. A couple hours later that same day, about 11:45 am, I was coming up the same street the mechanic shop was on to push the car back to my house when I saw the car on the back of a tow truck. I stopped to ask the tow truck guy what was going on and I was informed that the car was being repossessed. My first payment was not due until May 31, 2014, so I could not understand why the vehicle was being repossessed. The tow truck driver told me that [redacted], the owner of the finance company was having the vehicle repossessed. I called [redacted], she informed me that she had to issue the repossession order because the mechanic shop would not release the car. [redacted] informed me she was trying to get the car towed back to the car lot so it could be fixed. [redacted] never called me to inform me that she was sending a tow truck to come pick the vehicle up. I live three blocks (walking distance) from the mechanic shop, if they would not release the car, she should have called me to tell me she was sending a tow truck. No one ever called me. Once the car was back at the car lot, I was told by [redacted] that he was going to have his mechanic look at the vehicle and would get back to me. Two days went by and I had not heard anything. I called back on Friday, May 16, 2014 and was informed the mechanics were having trouble with getting the bolts off and was told I would hear from him on Monday. Monday came, I did not hear anything so I called. I was told they did not have a chance to look at the car and were going to call me back. Two days went by, didn't hear anything so I called back. On Wednesday, May 21, 2014, I was told by [redacted] that the motor did need to be replaced but he did not have that kind of money to replace it and that he would need to talk to [redacted] the owner to see what he wanted to do. It has been a month, no one has called me back and at this point, I just want my money back.Desired SettlementI am not the only person who has complained about this dealership selling lemon cars. At this point, since no one has attempted to call me back after a month and half to even let me know whether or not they would fix the vehicle, I just want a refund. I put $1500 down for a vehicle that had a warranty which was breached. The fact that no one attempted to call me back to let me know what they were going to do about the vehicle after I called numerous times tells me that these people are only in to selling lemon vehicles and taking peoples money. I have even tried to call today, Friday, June 20, 2014 and they would not answer the phone. I called from a different phone number and they picked right up. So they not only were not willing to fix this car, but are also avoiding my calls. This is bad business. I want a refund because their vehicles can not be trusted.Business Response /[redacted]/MS. [redacted] DID PURCHASE THE SAID VEHICLE FORM AUTO DEPOT OF FARMVILLE.MS [redacted] DID IN FACT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH CAR AND DID HAVE LOOKED AT A SHOP OF HER CHOICE WHEN SHE CONTACTED US SHE WAS TOLD AS ALL 30 DAY WARRANTIES ARE HANDLED GET THE CAR IN AND WE WILL DETERMINE WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN. OUR WARRANTY IS A 30 DAY 1000 MILE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY ONLY AND IS A 50/50 SPLIT WITH CUTOMER ON TOTAL REPAIR COST WHICH MS [redacted] SIGNED AT TIME OF PURCHASE AND WAS REINTERATED AT TIME OF ISSUE.WHICH MS [redacted] DECLINED TO DO... WE HONORED OUR WARRANTY BUT MS [redacted] WOULD NOT AGREE TO PAY HALF OF REPAIR AS FAR AS ISSUE WITH MIDEAST THATS AN OUTSIDE FINANCE COMPANY WE FINANCED MS [redacted] WITH AND HER COMPLAINT ABOUT FINANCE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO MIDEAST. AS FAR AS OUR VEHICLES WE SELL QUAILTY VEHICLES AND ALL ARE SERVICED AND STATE INSPECTED PRIOR TO DELIVERY HOWEVER WE ARE TALKING ABOUT OLDER VEHICLES AND UNFORTUNATELY THINGS HAPPEN FROM TIME TO TIME BUT WE ALWAYS STAND BEHIND OUR VEHILCES AND DO THE RIGHT THING WEVE BEEN IN BUSINESS OVER 25 YEARS AND YOU DONT LAST THAT LONG IN A SMALL COMMUNITY DOING BAD BUSINESS... SINCERLY AUTO DEPOT OF FARMVILLE NC Consumer Response /[redacted]/I did not decline anything from anyone at Auto Depot because every time I called I was told I would receive a return phone call and I never received a call back from anyone. The last time I spoke with [redacted] he told me that he had to talk to the owner because he did not have that kind of money to fix a motor. I kept calling and all I ever got was the run around and not a fixed car. This response is a blatant lie and I have all the conversations recorded to prove that I declined nothing. What I suggest is that Auto Depot stop lying just to get out of trouble and give me my money back. These vehicles are not quality because if they were they would not break down 2 weeks after leaving the lot. I will reiterate this, this is bad business; refund my money, I have the conversations recorded that clearly show no one tried to fix my vehicle. My phone number is on file if you want to rethink this lie you have told. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for lying. Final Business Response /[redacted]/MY RESPONSE IS THE SAME AS I JUST ANSWERED.ON 07-18-2014 THANKS
