Revdex.com400 Holiday Drive, Suite 220Pittsburgh, PA 15220Attn: [redacted]Complaint#: [redacted]In response to the complaint that was received. To get the full measure of the situation you need to start from the beginning. The customer initially leased from us a 2008 Pontiac G6 in November...

2016. We offer every customer on every sale to take any car they are looking at to a garage of their choice to get an opinion from someone they are used to dealing with before they purchase. The customer refused to take it anywhere and, after they test drove the car, leased the vehicle. The customer called in May of 2017 and stated that she was having trouble with, the G6. We had her take it to her mechanic in Butler where it ended up needing a transmission. We paid for the transmission and repair. The customer asked for, and received, a rental vehicle from our fleet at a reduced rate. The repair was done and the rental was returned to us. At the time of return, the customer owed $463.14 in rental charges which she said she couldn't pay. She then decided she no longer wanted the G6 and was interested in the 2012 Ford Focus. The full down payment amount of $1,000.00 (A courtesy we afford current customers who wish to trade vehicles is to accept half of the normal down payment. In this case $500.00.) The customer could not come up with the entire $500 down payment so the owner worked with the customer and accepted $250.00 as a goodwill gesture. When the G6 was brought in to trade, the front bumper and grill were smashed, and the left side of the vehicle was also damaged. These damages were the responsibility of the customer to repair. The cost of the bodywork to get the car back in saleable condition was $928.06, which the customer did not pay for. The Ford Focus that the customer traded into was in good running condition when it left. She was, as is our policy,, given the opportunity to take the car to a garage to be looked over before she purchased again. The customer declined this option. Three days after the customer left with the car, she called and said there was a hole in the radiator. She did not want to bring it up here for us to look at, so we made arrangements to have a radiator purchased for the customer whose husband completed the replacement. After the replacement, the customer called and said that the car was now running badly, and that they had changed the spark plugs to try to fix the rough running, The customer reported that the spark plugs did not fix the situation, and we advised her that the vehicle had to be brought up so we could assess it, The customer had the vehicle towed up to the dealership where it was sent out to be assessed. The mechanic determined that the car had been run in an overheated condition beyond the engines tolerances and that the excessive heat and length of time the car was run in that condition had damaged the head gasket. Since customer abuse of a vehicle is not covered under the 3 year, 50,000 mile internal engine, internal transmission warranty that comes with most of the vehicles sold at the dealership, the customer was informed that she was responsible for the cost of repair. We feel that we have gone above and beyond any reasonable, expectation to make this customer happy with her car, however, the customer has abused not one, but two vehicles, leaving them both in a condition that made them unsellable. The customer still owes the dealership $463.14 for the unpaid rental, $928.06 for the damages to the G6, and $1,492.80 for the cost of the blown head gasket on the Ford Focus. These amounts total $2,884.00.Respectfully submittedKen L[redacted], PresidentAuto Divide, Inc[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The claims made by Auto Divide are blown out of purportion. I do not accept responsibility for a car that had a warranty
Ford focus. Why have a warranty if you refuse to honor it? The damage to the G6 was explained to the dealer upon trade in which ibwas told not to worry about it.. Why might I inquire has the complete and total ignoring the Customer been a tactic used? You can make up numbers for repairs but that doesn't make it correct. I am not surprised this way turned around on me in this manner. I do not owe you over 2000 dollars. A bumper for a g6 is 100 dollars max. Auto divide left out alot of the story, most of which would cast them in a negative light. I still would like my deposit back so I can take my business somewhere else. What auto divide is doing is deceptive and theft.
Regards,
[redacted]

I have had a great experience with Auto Divide. I had a 14 year old BHPH car with a $12000 loan on it that left me stranded several times. Auto Divide worked with me and got me into a much nicer vehicle that I chose with a lower payment. They have an excellent leasing program that really helps people that have fallen on bad times get an affordable vehicle to get back and forth to work. I am now on my third vehicle with Auto Divide and plan on doing business with them for a long time. They stand behind their vehicles and don't treat their customers like an account number. Auto Divide and Northland in my opinion have perfected the Sub Prime Auto industry! Customers are more willing to make payments on a car they love, Auto Divide incorporates that theory into a program that benefits everyone.

Review: they sell junk and claim to sell vehicle in good conditions I have issues with them as do others they are rude not professional at all was told by a dealer no way this car should have ever been able to even pass inspection that the issues it has could not have happened recently had to have been that way when it was inspected and this same vehicle was brought back for same problems they keep saying its normal when its not at all not sure who they go through for inspections but it is unsafe what they are doing to peopleDesired Settlement: I believe it wont happen because the way this legal system is so messed up in our country but we were promised a vehicle in good condition as stated in our agreement and it is far from it and the fact that we took the vehicle back to them not even a three weeks after we got it and nothing is done about this place all thats wrong with our vehicle could not have happened in the short time we had it they are ongoing issues before we even got it

Response:

This customer refused to leave the car for service. We attempted to look at the vehicle ?on 2 occasions, but we were only allowed to look at the vehicle in the parking lot and never for more than 10 minutes. We had asked to have the vehicle left for service but the customer refused. At the beginning of September [redacted] finally agreed to leave the car for service. At this point we sent her car out for service to have concerns reviewed and found 2 problems. Both problems were remedied and the vehicle was returned to the customer. Respectfully Submitted, [redacted] Auto Divide, Inc.

Review: My g.friend and I was searching for a used car and needed subprime fiancing. I had saw a dealership in seneca pa called auto divide. I found their website and saw that they advertise guaranteed financing with no money down. so we went to their dealership. we picked a car out and started to talk numbers with the owner [redacted]. he told us we would need about $1200 down. when I explained that his website states no money down, he told me that was a mistake. I went on to explain that reguardless thats what it says and thats what we want.he said okay, but you still need tax and tittle and fees. I told him that we would use our 02 olds alero for that ! he had us take the car we was looking at for a test drive while he appraised our vehicle.when we got bac from the test drive he said that he didnt want our trade because it had a crack on the frame.isaid its gotta be worth something tho, and he said no, he doesnt want it.so then I went on to explain that we had a 04 chev blazer but the tranny was bad in it, but it was paid off free and clear and would he take that for a down payment for the tax and tittle.he said he would only give me $400 for it.I shook my head and said thats not enough, it a really clean veh., just it has a bad tranny.he said no just $400.I told him we was going home and that we would figure something out.and then left !after getn home, my g.friend said she really wanted that car and to go ahead and just trade the blazer in. so I called [redacted] and told him we wud trade the suv and how much more $ would we need for the tax and tittle.this is when he told me that I wud need $1100 more. I said wait a min. that dont make any sense.the car is only$9995. so the tax is only $600 plates and fees at the most is $300, so if your giving me $400 for suv, then you shud only need %500 more cash.this is when [redacted] became upset because I questioned him and told me he doesnt want my business and not to come back to his dealership!all this cause I caught he scaming wit advertising and lying about the money!!Desired Settlement: im not sure what would make this situation rite ! I feel as if some sort of money should be paid to me...not alot, but something ! I had ta[redacted] the day off work to go buy a veh from a dealership that had guaranteed financing with no money down...and was then refused business when I caught the owner lying about advertising and trying to cheat me out of money!!!!! I was embarassed and belittled in front of my girlfriend !!!!
