I am rejecting this response because: It is sad that this company is trying to turn things around to make it seem like I caused this problemI was told by [redacted] a gentleman that works for the Bureau Of Automotive Repair, that it does not matter if they where not able to duplicate the problemThey are liable as long as I brought the problem and issue to their attention before the warranty was out It is not my fault that they were not able to duplicate the problemLike I stated, it was showing mild symptoms at firstOf course only driving it around the block your not going to be able to duplicate a symptom when it’s in the mild stagesI did bring my vehicle to them before my 30day/mile warranty was out I know so because I explained to them the symptoms I was having and they thought it was the motor mountThey never charged me for the repairs on the motor mountIf it had been out of warranty wouldn’t they have charged me for the repair? That right there shows how they are not being fully honest regarding this situationI do not expect them to be liable for the entire lifetime of the carIf I did, then I would have brought my vehicle to them for all the other problems that I have experienced with this vehicle and continue to have, which I haven’tHowever, I do expect them to be liable for an issue that was already present just a few weeks after purchasing the vehicle when it was under warranty In regards to the repair cost I did tell them that I did not have any funds towards the repairs upfront due to paying for transportation and they would have to add it to my accountThey said that they would put it at the back end of what was owed on the vehicle and I would just continue to pay monthly which I have beenEven though this whole experience has been nothing but a nightmare I have never missed a payment nor have I refused to make a payment towards the vehicle at allI am not a dishonest person and in regards to the repair issue and it being under warranty I know that I am not wrong I wrote previously in detail everything I experienced and did happen I have nothing more to say other than I disagree fully with the company’s responseMaking it seem like it was my fault the transmission was failing do to the flush I had done on it when there was already a problem with it when I purchased the vehiclePlease take this matter into consideration carefully so that it may be resolved as soon as possible so that I may put this experience behind me and move forward Thank you, [redacted]

Once again, just as she stated, no one (me with her in the car, two mechanics with professional diagnostic tools) has ever been able to duplicate the transmission problem, until the car was well, well, well out of warranty and she had the transmission flushed by an outside mechanic, and it began to fail Had it had a transmission problem it wouldn't have taken 21,miles to turn on the check engine light and show obvious problems So, even though she drove the car excessive miles, 21,miles beyond the warranty period (as documented by the repair orders) and used it for commercial purposes, we still agreed to pay for half the repair (21,mile outside of the warranty period and eight months past) This complaint is a complete insult to what we have done to help her beyond her initial warranty period.Especially considering we have asked for absolutely no money from her upfront and did not charge or make a dime on the repair Furthermore, she has yet to pay for any repair of the transmission at all It amazes me that she take no responsibility for anything at all and has no appreciation for what we have done Had we know she would think it is our responsibility to fix and maintain the car for the life of her ownership, we would have never helped her out with a vehicle in the first place The contract she signed and agreed to clearly indicates, "After the day/mile warranty she is responsible for any and all repairs."There is nothing further to discuss with this matter We obviously made a big mistake with trying to help her There are no other dealers, anywhere, who would have done what we did to try and help

I am rejecting this response because: It is sad that this company is trying to turn things around to make it seem like I caused this problem. I was told by [redacted] a gentleman that works for the Bureau Of Automotive Repair, that it does not matter if they where not able to duplicate the problem. They are liable as long as I brought the problem and issue to their attention before the warranty was out.             It is not my fault that they were not able to duplicate the problem. Like I stated, it was showing mild symptoms at first. Of course only driving it around the block your not going to be able to duplicate a symptom when it’s in the mild stages. I did bring my vehicle to them before my 30day/1000 mile warranty was out I know so because I explained to them the symptoms I was having and they thought it was the motor mount. They never charged me for the repairs on the motor mount. If it had been out of warranty wouldn’t they have charged me for the repair?             That right there shows how they are not being fully honest regarding this situation. I do not expect them to be liable for the entire lifetime of the car. If I did, then I would have brought my vehicle to them for all the other problems that I have experienced with this vehicle and continue to have, which I haven’t. However, I do expect them to be liable for an issue that was already present just a few weeks after purchasing the vehicle when it was under warranty.             In regards to the repair cost I did tell them that I did not have any funds towards the repairs upfront due to paying for transportation and they would have to add it to my account. They said that they would put it at the back end of what was owed on the vehicle and I would just continue to pay monthly which I have been. Even though this whole experience has been nothing but a nightmare I have never missed a payment nor have I refused to make a payment towards the vehicle at all. I am not a dishonest person and in regards to the repair issue and it being under warranty I know that I am not wrong.             I wrote previously in detail everything I experienced and did happen I have nothing more to say other than I disagree fully with the company’s response. Making it seem like it was my fault the transmission was failing do to the flush I had done on it when there was already a problem with it when I purchased the vehicle. Please take this matter into consideration carefully so that it may be resolved as soon as possible so that I may put this experience behind me and move forward.     Thank you, [redacted]

As she stated the vehicle she purchased on 10/29/2015 with 132,767 miles had (now expired) a 30day/1000 mile warranty. The vehicle had no problems whatsoever with the transmission while under warranty. We had two certified mechanics look at the vehicle, drive and scan for any codes or issues. The...

only issue found was a rubber motor mount that we had replaced by an outside certified mechanic on 11/20/2015 when it had 134,871 miles. In the beginning of July she brought the vehicle to us after having the transmission power flushed by an outside mechanic. At 154,808 miles (22,041 miles after purchase), it now had a shifting problem and transmission codes in the computer, typical of a transmission being power flushed with high miles. Most transmission mechanics do recommend such service on a high mile vehicle. So, in an effort to make her feel better, and help her out, I negotiated a discounted rate on a transmission repair and offered to pay for half of it, even though the vehicle was more than 21,000 miles outside of the warranty. It feels very insulting to us that she would file a complaint against us, even though we went way above and beyond to help her. We will never work on her car again.

Once again, just as she stated, no one (me with her in the car, two mechanics with professional diagnostic tools) has ever been able to duplicate the transmission problem, until the car was well, well, well out of warranty and she had the transmission flushed by an outside mechanic, and it began to fail.  Had it had a transmission problem it wouldn't have taken 21,041 miles to turn on the check engine light and show obvious problems.  So, even though she drove the car excessive miles, 21,041 miles beyond the warranty period (as documented by the repair orders) and used it for commercial purposes, we still agreed to pay for half the repair (21,041 mile outside of the warranty period and eight months past).  This complaint is a complete insult to what we have done to help her beyond her initial warranty period.Especially considering we have asked for absolutely no money from her upfront and did not charge or make a dime on the repair.  Furthermore, she has yet to pay for any repair of the transmission at all.  It amazes me that she take no responsibility for anything at all and has no appreciation for what we have done.  Had we know she would think it is our responsibility to fix and maintain the car for the life of her ownership, we would have never helped her out with a vehicle in the first place.  The contract she signed and agreed to clearly indicates, "After the 30 day/1000 mile warranty she is responsible for any and all repairs."There is nothing further to discuss with this matter.  We obviously made a big mistake with trying to help her.   There are no other dealers, anywhere, who would have done what we did to try and help.
