Hello Ms [redacted] , my name is Jayde [redacted] I am the Executive Assistant to the President of Auto Fix UnlimitedI completely understand your confusion as to why you may think you were over charged on your labor; $seems extremely high when your vehicle was done in a matter of two hours! Unfortunately, our manager, Stan was correct upon explaining his reasoning to you on why it was so expensiveHowever, I understand that the automotive industry can be confusing and when it comes to the nitty gritties of it all- the confusion could get worsemy hopes are to further explain what Stan was attempting to explain and maybe we can settle and meet at a happy understandingMs [redacted] you were charged $for the labor to remove and replace the intake gasket and one BG fuel induction service (which is actually a package deal)The labor behind each job are all pre-determined via a third party company called [redacted] Our technicians are paid by the job hours that are assigned to each job given to themDepending if they finish the job early or it takes them two days longer to complete the job, the technician still will only be paid by the hours that were pre-determined for that jobThis is what Stan, our manager was saying in regards to the "book hours"Our goal at Auto Fix Unlimited is to have our customers out promptly! We know you are on a time schedule and vehicle maintenance is always a hassle but, at the same time our technicians have to be paid the equivalent to how long the job does normally takeWe do our best to hire amazing techs that will deliver fast servicing to our customers for time management reasons and because we respect and value you being able to go back to your normalityNever do we want you to think we are taking advantage of you Ms [redacted] Attached I have two examples of tech pays: one is from a law firm stating what I said and the other is from the Department of Labor although, their example is based off an auto dealership and a detailerThe same concept still applies just with a technician and his jobsWe are so sorry for this miscommunication! I hope this further explaination helps on our current issue and the Auto Fix Family hopes you are very happy with your repairsPlease let me know if I can further explain anything elseAlso, we would be more than happy to send you an updated invoice with your correct address on it, if you would likeThank you Ms [redacted]

To whom it may concern,Our apologies for replying so late, there has been multiple employment changes in the company since this had occurred and Mike N [redacted] is no longer with the company so we had to find all the information pertaining to this. From the information that I was able to gather, I am seeing that the vehicle had come in due to rough runningThe codes our technician retrieved from the vehicle were P0307, P0300, and P (cylinder #misfire, random misfire, and misfire at startup)Our technician began looking into the issues of the vehicle and had recommended spark plugs, coils, and a fuel induction serviceHe noted that there is a possibility of water being in the plug wells. When he pulled all coils and spark plugs, he found the spark plugs to be new and that there was no water in the plug wellsWe reinstalled the plugs but changed one bad coil on cylinder #to clear the Pcode and then checked the fuel pressureThe truck was only getting 20lbs of fuel pressure which should be between and As the vehicle could run rough and misfire due to being starved of fuel the technician recommended to change the fuel pump. After changing the fuel pump, the truck still ran poorlyNow that our technician ruled out the possibility of ignition and fuel issues, he determined the valves to be bent, possibly due to broken spark plugs from previous workAs we do not do any engine teardown due to the liabilities it creates, our technician recommended replacing the engine.I do see that the customer was not charged for any diagnostic time or any labor for removing and installing the spark plugs that we had recommended initially including the fuel induction serviceThe ignition coil was also provided to the customer at a highly reduced rate (well below our cost)In addition to this he also received a $ discount for the work performedBecause of this and due to the fact that the fuel pump was without a doubt needed, we were unable to refund any further.Best regards,Travis W [redacted]

To whom it may concern,Our apologies for replying so late,
there has been multiple employment changes in the company since this had
occurred and Mike N[redacted] is no longer with the company so we had to find all
the information pertaining to this. From the information that I was able
to gather, I am...

seeing that the vehicle had come in due to rough running. The
codes our technician retrieved from the vehicle were P0307, P0300, and P0316
(cylinder #7 misfire, random misfire, and misfire at startup). Our technician
began looking into the issues of the vehicle and had recommended spark plugs,
coils, and a fuel induction service. He noted that there is a possibility of
water being in the plug wells. When he pulled all coils and spark
plugs, he found the spark plugs to be new and that there was no water in the
plug wells. We reinstalled the plugs but changed one bad coil on cylinder #7 to
clear the P0307 code and then checked the fuel pressure. The truck was only
getting 20lbs of fuel pressure which should be between 55 and 60. As the
vehicle could run rough and misfire due to being starved of fuel the technician
recommended to change the fuel pump. After changing the fuel pump, the
truck still ran poorly. Now that our technician ruled out the possibility of
ignition and fuel issues, he determined the valves to be bent, possibly due to
broken spark plugs from previous work. As we do not do any engine teardown due
to the liabilities it creates, our technician recommended replacing the engine.I do see that the customer was not
charged for any diagnostic time or any labor for removing and installing the
spark plugs that we had recommended initially including the fuel induction
service. The ignition coil was also provided to the customer at a highly
reduced rate (well below our cost). In addition to this he also received a $130
discount for the work performed. Because of this and due to the fact that the
fuel pump was without a doubt needed, we were unable to refund any further.Best regards,Travis W[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.

Hello Ms. [redacted], my name is Jayde [redacted]. I am the Executive Assistant to the President of Auto Fix Unlimited. I completely understand your confusion as to why you may think you were over charged on your labor; $499.69 seems extremely high when your vehicle was done in a matter of two hours!...

Unfortunately, our manager, Stan was correct upon explaining his reasoning to you on why it was so expensive. However, I understand that the automotive industry can be confusing and when it comes to the nitty gritties of it all- the confusion could get worse... my hopes are to further explain what Stan was attempting to explain and maybe we can settle and meet at a happy understanding. Ms. [redacted] you were charged $499.69 for the labor to remove and replace the intake gasket and one BG fuel induction service (which is actually a package deal). The labor behind each job are all pre-determined via a third party company called [redacted]. Our technicians are paid by the job hours that are assigned to each job given to them. Depending if they finish the job early or it takes them two days longer to complete the job, the technician still will only be paid by the hours that were pre-determined for that job. This is what Stan, our manager was saying in regards to the "book hours". Our goal at Auto Fix Unlimited is to have our customers out promptly! We know you are on a time schedule and vehicle maintenance is always a hassle but, at the same time our technicians have to be paid the equivalent to how long the job does normally take. We do our best to hire amazing techs that will deliver fast servicing to our customers for time management reasons and because we respect and value you being able to go back to your normality. Never do we want you to think we are taking advantage of you Ms. [redacted]. Attached I have two examples of tech pays: one is from a law firm stating what I said and the other is from the Department of Labor although, their example is based off an auto dealership and a detailer. The same concept still applies just with a technician and his jobs. We are so sorry for this miscommunication! I hope this further explaination helps on our current issue and the Auto Fix Family hopes you are very happy with your repairs. Please let me know if I can further explain anything else. Also, we would be more than happy to send you an updated invoice with your correct address on it, if you would like. Thank you Ms. [redacted].
