Hello, This customer brought in a vehicle with a leaking radiator core. The customer acknowledged and signed for a $135 diagnostic charge that would be charged if the cause of failure was determined to be outside the provisions of the factory warranty (physical damage, abuse, etc). Upon diagnosing...

the cause of the leak, our technician found the leaking area of the radiator core to be physically damaged by a foreign object, likely a rock or other form of road debris. Physical damage is not covered under the provisions of the factory warranty, therefore warranty coverage was denied for this repair. There was no "ruptured" radiator core, nor any manufacture defect. The cause of failure was in fact, without any doubt, physical damage. If the customer has any further questions or requests, it would be in their best interest to inquire directly with Customer Care at Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. I am rejecting this response because:
Auto Gallery should not have placed a lien on this vehicle in the first place. Although this was a cash transaction, Auto Gallery insisted the purchase be financed through [redacted] Financial until the check cleared which we complied with. Once payment cleared, Auto Gallery neglected to inform [redacted] that it was paid in full which temporarily negatively affected our credit but we got that cleared up with [redacted]. Since the car was financed, again temporarily, with [redacted] it was [redacted] that should have placed the lien (and did) not Auto Gallery.

He qualified for a rate of 14.3% APR. the term of the loan was quoted at 72 months and the amount of financed is $21,135.28. The total amount of interest cumulative over 6 years is $10,654.88. Therefore, the total amount of payments, including his $10,000.00 down payment is $41,790.16It is clear that the communication was misunderstood when he received our quote, the detail is itemized on our paperwork. We are happy to offer him a shorter term, if he wishes 60 months rather than the 72 quoted.
