Review: I Dropped my 2001 v70xc at this business for repairs this business is local and advertised a licensed VOLVO Mechanic. I was told they needed two hours to diagnose the problem at the rate of $195.00 I approved. I was then contacted and told they could not diagnose the problem without the factory equipment from Volvo as they thought the problem to be in the engine computer. They suggested that I would have to tow it to the Volvo dealer. I asked them how much I owed and they charged the 195.00 and I payed it. Upon arrival at the Volvo dealer I was told the diagnostics would run 125.00 I then received a call from volvo telling me that they would need to charge 250.00 for two hours of Diagnostics because the car had not been put back together from the mechanic at the Autohaus. I called the AutoHaus and asked why they did not put the car back together and they told me it was to save the other Machanic time who is now charging me an additional 125.00 due to the car being disassembled. The owner of Autohaus told me that it was not out of the ordinary for them to leave cars they can't fix in pieces for the next mechanic. This not the case anywhere else in the world. I brought it in with all parts attached and did not get it back in the same condition and paid for the two hours. He was unwilling to offer any restitution. I then spoke to the Volvo service manager who informed me that the issues on the car will cost 2600.00 dollars and that some of the wiring had been spliced by the other (Autohaus) Mackinac. I am not claiming that the damage to this car was done by the AUTOHAUS. All I am attesting to IS INCOMPLETE SERVICE AND THE ADDITIONAL COST OF 125.00 BROUGHT ON BY THEIR FAILURE TO REASSEMBLE THE CAR CORRECTLY AND COMPLETELY.Desired Settlement: After talking with the owner and his admission that they take cars apart and fail to reassemble them if they can't fix them, I think I have the right to ask for all $195.00 dollars back . In my profession if I can't fix something I give it back in the condition I received it or I buy it. Also advertising that you have a certified Volvo Technician apparently does not imply that he has access to factory equipment IE (Diagnostics), to test the car's computer.
