Mr. [redacted] obtained a policy with Mercury County Mutual Insurance through AIS on 10/20/14. On 2/17/15 Mr. [redacted] replaced the covered vehicle, which resulted in an increase in premium. This also resulted in an increase in his renewal premium for the term beginning 4/20/15. On 5/11/15 Mr. [redacted]...

requested that his policy be cancelled. However, this did not allow sufficient time to stop the prescheduled premium withdrawal. Mr. [redacted] evidently reversed or stopped payment however, and his policy is now cancelled as of 5/12/15 with no balance due.

Review: My experience with AIS has been less than pleasant from my first interaction. Initially the set-up of my policy went very smoothly, however about 5 months in I purchased a new vehicle and getting the policy switched to the new vehicle was like pulling teeth. The agents I spoke with were less than helpful or knowledgeable. They told my there would be a policy increase but could not give me an exact figure as to what the increase was and I was told I would be emailed later with the prorated amount. They then drafted the last 2 months of my 6 month policy at once. Then when it was time for my renewal they raised my rate by over $100 per month. I have not had any tickets or claims since my original policy so I did not see the reason for the increase. This prompted me to shop other carriers. I did and I cancelled my policy with AIS. I electronically signed the cancellation form and they verified receipt while I was on the phone. I also got a confirmation email that "All parties have signed the envelope 'Your Automobile Insurance Application from AIS!, Client # xxxxxxx'." And I was assured that the policy had been cancelled and no more drafts would occur. However 5/13/2015 they drafted my account again. I really shouldn't be surprised that this company would do something like this given my previous interactions with them. They are dishonest and lack the knowledge to assist.Desired Settlement: I would like all monies paid for my current policy refunded in full.

Review: Salesperson/Broker misrepresented and lied to us about the payment terms on an insurance policy that she sold to usDesired Settlement: We would like to be compensated one month's insurance ($148.00) for the fact that we were misled.

As a gesture of good faith, under separate cover we will be reimbursing Ms. [redacted] the amount of $34. This represents the policy fee plus the first installment fee. We hope this will satisfy the matter and we appreciate Ms. [redacted]'s business.
