Response to [redacted] Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted] ( [redacted] ) Mrs [redacted] brought her car to Auto Care on November 2nd for oil change at around 10:AMWe began the process of oil change, and as usual we take it upon ourselves to check all fluids such as brakes, power steering, antifreeze, and windshield wiper fluidOne of my associate noticed that her antifreeze was completely emptyI personally went to her, talked to her, and showed her that she needed antifreezeMrs [redacted] agreed to purchase a gallon of antifreeze for $My associate filled up her car with antifreeze in front of her as well as me, and gave her the rest of the antifreeze after we completed filling up the antifreeze reservoirThen I began to explain to her that she might have a leak, so I offered her the choice for us to find the leak, and explained to her the pricing was $20-depending on how long we takeHer response was that she would be back in half an hourBefore she left I advised her to watch the temperature gauge while she was driving, and if it gets too high she would need to stop and put antifreeze(All what i'm telling you is what exactly happened, but I was not sure what was going on with her car.) At about 2-to-2:30pm Mrs [redacted] called me, and said that her car stopped, so I asked her where and she said between Northwest 23rd and PortlandShe wanted me to come to see what her problem was with the carI agreed to come15-minutes later she called saying she needed to pick up her kids(Because she said she needed to pick up her kids I didn't go.) Next day at around 1:00PM I called her to meet me at her car(At NW 23rd and Portland.) After minutes she came, and I asked her to open the hood and she didI pulled the oil dipstick in front of her and showed her that it was full with oil, and I was recording itShe said earlier that there was no oil in the car, but I showed her there was, and I explained to her the only thing i'm responsible for is the oilI continued to show her that everything we did was in place and done correctly (Oil filter, drain plug, and oil is all thereI have all this in videos and pictures while she was there) She said that I am responsible for the whole engine, after she said this I understood I wasn't going to get anywhere with her so I leftI want Mrs [redacted] to understand that all I am responsible for is the oil changeAny problems with her engine not relating to what we did is not our faultI only made a dollar profit from that oil change and now she wants me to pay for an engine that can cost up to 5,I know this as well as Mrs [redacted] that I treated her very well and was super nice to herI also want her to know that my shop and NW 23rd and Portland is miles apartShe claimed there was no oil in the engine, but it is impossible to drive just mile without oil
