Review: On October 23, 2015, I went to Auto Lenders in search of a car for the SOLE purpose of providing me with extra income by becoming a driver for Uber. I arranged a deal with Auto Lenders for a 2013 Honda Odyssey EX priced at $24,995. After spending over 5 hours there, I executed a deal for the vehicle on the conditions that they would repair the body damage; provide factory floor mats and provide a towing sleeve for the built-in hitch. I issued a down payment of $2000 via a credit card. I did not trade-in my current vehicle for this transaction.

After they found a suitable creditor, we initiated the deal. I was told that I could pick up the Odyssey the following week. I went to pick up the car on Wednesday, October 28, but had to return on October 30 for the floor-mats, the hitch sleeve and to repair the tire pressure monitor. When I returned home that evening with documents in hand, I electronically submitted the documents with Uber. Only then had I become aware, that my insurance DOES NOT cover me in specific instances and that additional commercial insurance would be too costly to consider driving for Uber.

I called dealer early morning on Saturday, October 31, 2015 and told them I had to return the vehicle. The managers at the [redacted] told me that they didn't take cars back and that I would have to trade it in for another vehicle.

I wrote a letter to the owner ([redacted]) seeking assistance and his stance was the same. I didn't drive the car 100 miles and could not afford to keep it.

I arrived Monday November 2 to return the vehicle and they told me I had to pay an additional 3400 to return it or I would face a voluntary repossession. I submitted the money. After that [redacted]r agreed to a refund $2000 but I didn't get it. I'm UNHAPPY. The car is back on their site for the same price and they're telling me that they had to pay the sales tax already, which was nonsense. I'm out $5400 and they have the car for sale again.Desired Settlement: I want full refund that I paid in cash, and credit card for the vehicle, which is $5398 and I want assurance that the loan ($25,110) has been paid off immediately. I will take additional steps through other agencies and public announcements. I will spread the news that the dealer is not acting in good faith whatsoever. This transaction may have been a result of my mistake, but there was no harm and no foul.

They're trying to convince me that it cost money to run the business and that they had to pay the sales tax already. Business costs are there whether they sold me that vehicle or not. Sales Taxes are filed quarterly and deductions for voided or returned transactions are allowed on every quarterly statement.

Review: I contacted Auto Lenders on-line for a quote to sell my car to them. It stated that upon the sale of my car to them that a check could be provided to me on the spot. I sold my car to the Auto Lenders Dealership ([redacted] Location) on Friday 11/22/2013. I was told a check could not be provided that day but it would be available for pick-up by Monday (11/25/13), Tuesday (11/26) the latest. I called on both Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday afternoon I was told they would call me when it came in later in the afternoon. I did not receive a call. I called again on Wednesday (11/27/13) and was told that they don't know where the check is and that they will have to get back to me. In the meantime, I was told that the car was no longer on the lot as of Saturday 11/23/13 and sent to auction. Now I have no car and no money for the car after 5 days after sale.Desired Settlement: Immediate payment of money due to me as per agreement.

A check was sent out to Ms. [redacted] last Monday. Unfortunately, the check was mistakenly mailed to the wrong location and was returned to our corporate headquarters. A new check for the full amount was sent to our Toms River location as per Ms. [redacted] instructions today. She is on her way in to pick up her check. This was a clerical mistake and something that we take seriously. We have apologize to Ms. [redacted] for her inconvenience. Unless otherwise notified, we considered this matter resolved.

Review: On October 6, 2104 I purchased a vehicle from Auto Lenders ( 2012 [redacted]). At the time I was offered gap Insurance as an option. I agreeed and paid them $595 for the policy payable monthlly over the 63 months contact. ON March 19, 2015 ( 5 months later) I paid the car off. I requested a partial refund on the gap Policy which I bought from them. I have been dealing with [redacted] at auto lenders who has been very cooperative. He assured me I would have the refund " in a couple of weeks". The check never came. [redacted] requested proof that the car was paid off. I supplied this to him on March 25, 2015. He contacted the gap company and they said it would take 4-6 weeks.. We are now going on 9 weeks and still no check.Desired Settlement: I just want a refund on the unused part of the gap policy that I cancelled.
