Review: On December [redacted] of last year, I purchased a 2010 Lexus LS460 from Auto Market in Jamaica, NY and have since had a number of problems with my vehicle that have required me to make repairs that cost in excess of $2,000. I have detailed my experience below:

1. My Sales Contract (based on my explicit request) indicated I was to get an extra set of floor mats with the car; the floor mats were not with the car when it was shipped to me, but my salesman, [redacted], told me he would send them to me; he never did.

2. When the trucking company went to pick up the car in Jamaica, New York, the suspension light was on; the trucker called me and asked me if I still wanted him to put the car on his truck for shipment. I asked if I could speak to [redacted] who was standing right by him; [redacted] got on the phone and told me that the light was on because the suspension had to be locked down during transport or it could ruin the air shocks and open the airbags, thus totaling the car. He told me to trust him, which turned out to be a big mistake.

3. The car arrived without extra floor mats and with the suspension light on. I took it to the local Lexus dealer and they indicated that the suspension wasn’t locked and that the suspension light was on due to some damage to the suspension. $1080.00 later, they found a broken suspension wire and repaired it. [redacted] indicated that he felt bad and would send me $300 which he did; he also indicated that he would send the floor mats which he never did.

4. After picking the car up, I noticed that the suspension was still rough. I took it back to the Lexus dealer which indicated that I needed ALL four new air shocks at a price of nearly $10,000. I called Lexus Customer Care, spent much time on the phone with them, and they eventually agreed to replace all four shocks for $750 as part of their Lexus goodwill program. I was fortunate because the car was out of warranty and the shocks were damaged, which fact had to be known by [redacted] and the Owner, who drove the car for weeks after they bought it and before they sold it.

5. The car’s fan has a high-pitched whine when on high. I told [redacted] about it in January and he indicated that he felt bad and would send me an extra $200, which he never did, even though on many occasions he told me the check was in the mail.

6. I provided [redacted] with my FedEx charge number so that he could send me the title and keys to the vehicle in a timely manner. Instead, he waited an entire week to send the keys and title and did it in a costlier manner than instructed.

7. The photographs of the vehicle showed weather stripping/trim around the rear window that was discovered upon arrival to be cut and needed to be replaced at a cost of $196.

As a result of these misrepresentations and violations of contract, I have requested a refund of $2,300 from Auto Market, which I have not yet received:

$1,080 Broken suspension wire

$145.32 Missing floor mats

$428.16 Replace fan to fix high-pitched whirring noise

$725 Replace four air shocks

$196 Replace cut weather stripping

$48.31 FedEx charges

$(300) Prior refund

$2,322.79 Total owed me

In addition to these easily-discernible costs, I recently noticed moisture behind the vehicle’s navigation screen. I pointed this out to my dealer and he suggested that though the car came with a clear title, it is possibly a flood car, which would not only affect the resale value of the vehicle, but would indicate the possibility of additional mechanical and electrical problems.

I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me in settling this dispute with Auto Market.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $2,322.79 owed to me as detailed above.

Review: I'm financing a car from a dealership and he won't give me a contract of bill of sale. I've been financing a car since 1/*/2014. The dealership is now closed but I stay I contact with the [redacted]. The problem is the [redacted] won't give me a bill of sale or a contract. The agreement was for $14,900 romance for 48 mouths. I've been paying him $600 a mouth. When we made this agreement in 1/*/2014 he told me he'll give me a contract two weeks after I pick it up. It's been a year and 6 mouths and I still have no paper work. I've paid him well over $15,000 and he keeps asking for more money he wants me to pay a total of $28,800 but he refuses to give me my paper work. Also I have a attorney and we both are trying to get my needed documents. The other problem is I need to get my car registered and this is preventing from registering. Witch could affect my job.
