*** *** *** *** Firstly I would like to apologize for any troubles this floor has caused. As it does sound like a manufacturing warranty claim, CRT stands ready to correct. Neither myself nor my sales manager have had any notice of this complaint. I will be
in contact tomorrow Monday the 5th to lay out action plan. I will also speak to Joe and see where this breakdown of communication occurred. Thank you for your patience and we will get this resolved quickly. *** ***

I am rejecting this response because: I never got the video. I offered to meet the CRT employee at the apartment and they didn't notify me when they went there. I spoke with the employee and I told her I wanted them to fix the poor workmanship because they didn't put enough glue. The glue they used was not good quality. I'm disappointed in they company's customer service because they expect the customer to fix their a problem they created because the flooring wasn't installed properly. I paid $1,900.00 to CRT to install vinyl flooring in good faith (10/2017). They advertise in the news media that they warranty their work and now they won't keep their promises. That's not how an honest business keeps return customers coming back!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. For clarification, the contractor they used made me sign the completion certificate while I was home on my lunch break and the were not finished. He told me that he would not wait for me to get off of work and get home to sign off on the job. He told me that I had to sign it now and if I found any problems to call him directly and he would come out to fix them. I did not have the opportunity to examine the finished product until that night and the next day. The inspector has tried to reach out to me and I have called him back to schedule a day and time for him to visit my house. He has not yet returned my call.

Subject: RE: Complaint # [redacted]CRT installed this carpet on 7-27-16 We received a call from the customer on or around the 8-25-16 she mentioned she was not happy with one particular seam and the way the carpet was installed (she didn’t like the pattern that met the tile at the entrance to the room...

it seemed crooked). The sales manager went to the home to inspect the issues. The install was inspected and was done very well but being that we offer a lifetime installation warranty and it was an easy fix, we set up the repair on 8-27-16  The fraying should not be happening but once snagged or pulled this becomes a very common issue. Low cut loop Berber carpet is one of the easiest to catch and fray . Our lifetime installation warranty will cover this repair we will re-stretch the carpet where need be, z-bar it and re-tuck it, We have set up the repair for 10-28-16

I am rejecting this response because: I went to the apartment Tuesday, April 24th at 10:00am and I didn't see any water leaking. I don't appreciate the company lying about the room having a water leak. The floor tile was installed on 10/31/2017 and my new tenant moved into the apartment on 11/3/17. The tenant has never reported and/or had a water leak in the room where the tile has come unglued. I had two flooring experts look at the floor and they said the installer didn't prepare, clean and/or remove debris from the concrete floor before putting glue. The concrete floor should have been "primed" to act as a barrier before putting down the glue. You can not just rely on a moisture meter to support the fact that moisture exist. There needs to be additional evidence to support your assertion of a water leak. I inspected all of the rooms to see if you could tell where the water leak was came from (hot water heater, window, commode, kitchen area, etc.) and there was no evidence of any water leak happening in the apartment. As I mentioned before, the installer failed to properly prepare the concrete floor and didn't put sufficient glue to support the vinyl. If my concerns had been addressed back in March, the floor repair would have been completed by now. I have a new tenant moving into the apartment on 4/27/18 and the floor problem has been repaired. I'm going to lose income because the apartment will not be ready for move-in by 4/27. I took pictures of the floor and you can see where the installer didn't use sufficient glue on the edges of each vinyl piece.

We are aware of [redacted] issues with his floor.  We received the Watson's completion certificate after the job was complete and satisfaction has been achieved.  We reached out to the Watson's shortly after that to collect the balance and were notified at that point that he was not going...

to pay because he has some issues with the install.  We asked him for details and we would certainly address them as we did.  We consistently tried to reach out to Mr Watson for over a 6-7 week period with little to no response.  After trying to address his issues we received communication from him that he brought in an inspector that delivered the report attached to this complaint.  As we must now get the manufacturer to send out inspector to determine our own findings.  We have all of the documentation that the products used under his floor were approved.  If there has been a failure or a misrepresentation from the manufacturer then we will of course remove the floor and replace.  We have never walked away from a customer who is unhappy with there product for over 30 years and we never will.  We must ascertain what is causing the problem.  The manufacturer inspector has already reached out to Mr. Watson as he stated and we need to test the products that we used to install his wood floor.  Once all of the findings are found and we look at both reports together we will set an action plan on what can be done.  I will report that plan once CRT has it.
