Charging to not fix nothingOn 8/24/15 I got a Bill for 178.00 over the phone saying my car would be fix when I got there they wanted me to bye a used engine for 3500 when my truck was running it has a pressure problem that I took to someone else to fix they are not a shopDesired SettlementClose down or do your jobBusiness Response Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle was towed into our shop because it would not start. As noted on the attachment, a compression test, spark test, fuel test, computer test were performed which were all approved by Mr. [redacted] prior to them being performed. The compression test results showed 0 compression in the number 3 cylinder. After giving the results to Mr. [redacted], he approved the inspection of the valve cover (R&R valve cover on the attached work order) where it was discovered that the #3 cylinder exhaust valve was stuck open. Mr. [redacted], he was informed that he could repair the cylinder head which may or may not fix the problem. As an additional option, he could replace the engine which would probably run in the neighborhood of $3500 for a new engine. Mr. [redacted] was not pressured into any sale, he was given an accurate diagnosis and options which he opted not to pursue. Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle would not run when it was towed to our shop but it was able to be driven off the lot. I'm not sure what else we could have done to satisfy the customer.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They contacted me with a attitude why'll I was at work Wich was not needed calling me why the harassment to me when one my car was running when I brought it I just had it towed couse it was missing no need to keep harassment going over the phone

Review: We have 2001 Land Rover Discovery and brought Auto Medic for cooling system issue. They checked and replaced radiator and heater hose.(They mentioned Engine head gasket was OK) we went pick up the vehicle dated Dec 3rd 2014. but found "Service Engine Flashing" We did notify that Service Engine Light is Flashing, and asked [redacted] (owner of Auto Medic) to check what is wrong with the vehicleAnd [redacted] just pushed gas and selected transmission to Rear. He said OK. No problem. We trusted his judgement and let them shop, and soon as left the vehicle broken (explored and blew the coolantand damaged engine head gasket) There is No chance the vehicle breaks down like that If, he checked the vehicle, especially cooling system and needs find out why Service Engine Light was Flashing before he said OK. No problem. He ignored that the vehicle told something wrong with Service Engine Light flashing. He estimated us3 to 4k to repair engine head gasket and mentioned I would not take care your vehicle Nevertheless he ignored Service Engine Light Flashing, and created serious engine damage. We have attempting to find reasonable solution for both party with [redacted]. including share the cost engine head gasket repair However he rejected any kind of offer.Desired Settlement: Auto Media/[redacted] needs take care the cost to replace Engine head gasket.
