Auto Nerd Reviews (2)

Dear Dispute Resolution Department,I apologize for the delay in my response This particular vehicle was purchased by Auto Nerd from ABC STLouis Auto Auction Most generally, we receive the title a few weeks after the purchase, which is perfectly legal By law, a vehicle that is
years old or older may be claimed as exempt pertaining to the miles. The state of Illinois and the state of Missouri are a little more lenient when it comes to this, therefore the auction being located on the border of Missouri/Illinois tends to follow their states guidelines We have asked them countless times to please fill in the miles when it is possible to avoid these kind of things happening Indiana goes by the date the vehicle was manufacturedWhen we received the title, the previous owner, and the Auction had writtenExempt in the Odometer spaceIn that case we are required to follow suite and write Exempt as wellExempt, simply means that you don't have to write the miles in, it doesn't mean that the odometer has been rolled back or the miles on the vehicle are not ACTUALWE did provide an odometer statement to our customer at the time of sale with the actual miles on it This can be fixed with some extra work, which I am willing to doI have emailed both of the previous owners requesting this information I hope to have it in a few days We did not intentionally mislead our customer, we simply did not know that when we actually received the title it would read Exempt. Sincerely, Joan H***Auto Nerd

Grove office I contacted our Sales Director for a full report. We were able to locate all of the enclosed documents and the sales persons' name so that we could interview him as well. I have enclosed the following for your review:Bill of SaleAutoNerds original cost sheet AutoNerds expensesNADA Trade-in Value Report S. KBB Consumer Value Report 6. Carfax ReportWe are very sorry that our customer's uncle was unable to reach his sales person as he alleges. Our customer has a Bill of Sale for his/her purchase as you can see in my attachments. The Bill Of Sale provides my contact information very clearly at the top. That number reaches me personally so that AutoNerd may assure all callers professional response and prompt service. I did not receive a phone call or Voice mail from our customer or her uncle on the 17th of October or at any other time. I have a call log on my phone that I am also glad to provide. After receiving this from the Revdex.com, I contacted [redacted] at the number that he provided to you. I do believe he attempted to reach a sales person and was not called back and I did tell him that I would work with him but he was not interested in anything reasonably. The customer alleges that the salesman relied heavily on the carfax (see enclosed). In our industry, we are not aware of a more reliable history report than Carfax so I believe our salesman's belief and confidence was well placed. The customer alleges that the original transmission was replaced by an aftermarket transmission. Our company spent over $1900.00 (See enclosed receipts) in order to provide the best possible vehicle for the price and we believe we did exactly that. The "aftermarket" or non-OEM transmission failed aftercustomer took possession of the vehicle and certainly was not serviced or symptomatic while we owned the vehicle or you would see a service bill associated with the transmission. The concern that the customer has with the alleged "aftermarket transmission" is not equitable based on the fact that at some point the OEM transmission must have failed so I am quite certain that Ford didn't build one very well in the first place, as the vehicle currently only has 111,000 miles on it. Lastly, the customer claims that it was our claim that the vehicle was in good condition with no known major defects. That was also our customer's conclusion after seeing, driving, and negotiating successfully for the vehicle. All of this being said, we are not unwilling to work with our customer  but as you can see from his report, he didn't know the name of the salesman so I am most-sure that he was not contacting us at the right telephone number either. Please let me know how I can further assist you or feel free to contact me at the number below, (or at the top of the attached bill of sale fl. Scott H[redacted], Operations Director(317) 727-9927
