worst insurance company to have to deal with. they cheat and lie their way out of having to pay any claims. claim representative DANA FRANCISCO denied every document presented to her. she hardly answers calls and when she does shes rude and nasty.

Interboro insurance, a branch of [redacted] insurance is a rip off. They called me to inform me if I switch my home owners insurance I would save $300 a year from my current policy. I was also told that I would not have to do anything that the insurance company would do everything to switch my policy. That was the first lie. No sooner then a week later I was informed by my mortgage company that I now had to home owners policies on my house. I had to cancel my old insurance and then send a refund check back to my mortgage company. That was only the beginning. The night before thanksgiving someone knocks on my door and said he is there to inspect my house for the insurance company. Something I was never informed about. Now the final straw is receiving a letter stating that they under insured my house and now my yearly price would go from 1100 to 1600 dollars a year. That is 200 dollars more then my old insurance company. I complained that this appeared to be a bait and switch tactic. Promise me one thing and then after the fact raise the price. I was told that it was all just a misunderstanding on MY part. Would anyone want to do business with a company like this. I am shopping now for a new home owners policy and as soon as I find one I will be leaving this company in the dust. I am writing this to warn everyone about this company.

Stay clear of interboro home insurance company cancelled my policy after payments for new sheetrock not painted in basement after having me replace it for a small water stain mark I have fied complaint with Revdex.com changed effective date of my insurance by 2 months from wat was on policy

Review: I cancelled my homeowners insurance on 11/*/13. I had gotten new insurance with another company. I had Interboro Insurance until 11/*/13. I had called my broker [redacted] to cancel (###-###-####) A month later I had gotten a bill in the mail for $230.00 I called [redacted] and Interboro Insurance several times and my new insurance company also sent them a copy stating I had new insurance. Now this $230.00 is in collections! If anything they owe me money for the 2 weeks..when my new insurance kicked in. This is now affecting my credit score since its in collections.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for 9 days I had cancelled with them and remove the $230.00 out of collections

Please provide a signed request to cancel your Interboro policy, along with a copy of your new policy declarations page and we will be more than happy to backdate the cancellation to 11/*/13, the effective date of your new coverage.

Review: I purchased Auto Insurance at a rate that was acceptable for me. I was truthful on the application and applied through a broker. 1 Month after the policy even before my next payment. [redacted] sent a new policy with an increase of $697.00 per year adding my daughter to my policy. She has her own [redacted] insurance policy and is 27 years old living in my home. When I called the broker as to what was going on she explained that my daughters liability limits are less than mine are. I have 250/500 and she has 100/300 since they are not the same she has to be added to the policy. I called [redacted] and was told "rudely" I might add that she was added and I would have to request why from consumerdisclosure.com Who wanted my drivers license number, SS number and birth date to get a copy. In this day and age I would not give anyone that information.

My question is that how can you just add someone to my policy increase my rates and not have a reason. I switched insurance companies immediately but do not want to pay a dime extra for having my daughter on the policy for no reason. By the way it has been over a year since my daughter has been off of my policy. This can not be legal I do not believe anyone can just add another person to the policy without an explanation first. When I looked for an explanation they wanted all of my personal info. Something is not right with this.Desired Settlement: I just want my refund cancelling my policy and not wanting to pay a dime extra toward having my adult daughter who works a full time job, with her own car and her own insurance policy on it.

A policy for [redacted] was written effective 1/**/16. When the policy was bound, included with the application was a list of required documentation needed to support the policy. Included was a request for proof of insurance for [redacted]. When acceptable documentation was not received, after a follow-up period, [redacted] was added to the policy. On 2/**/16 the requested documentation regarding [redacted] was received and she was removed from the insured’s policy. [redacted] is still in-force, but is pending cancellation for non-payment effective 3/**/2016 12:01AM. A request to cancel this policy has not been received by [redacted] Insurance.
