Auto Painting USA - Chandler

We had our 99 Lexus Sc400 repainted. I was a little worried not having repainted a car before, but Jim the shop manager was really nice and the car came out beautiful!

I took in a very solid MGB in need of a re-paint to complete a restoration. I paid for their premium package and a couple of extras.

When I got the car back, it looked like it had been in a dust storm. All of my restoration work was caked in desert and paint dust. It took me four days to clean, after which, I noticed that they didn't even paint past the lower rocker. Basically, if they had to bend down, it didn't get paint. I paid extra for door jams and they had giant shadow void lines of original color.

I took it back for rework, but had large sections of bubbling paint a couple of months later. An independent shop told me that the only way that the paint could have acted like that was for AP USA to have stripped it down to bare metal, left it outside over-night then painted to cover over their tracks.

Now, 12 months later, I have a giant crack across the only area they were supposed to do a blemish repair.

They have pleasant customer service, but are more interested in getting the car out the door and your check in their bank.

If you need a re-paint before turning your car, this is the place. If you actually care about getting a decent job done, run away. Run far away from this shop. They will abuse your car.

Vary poor management. Work that was agreed to was not completed, and work order changed without my approval.

I brought in my 2014 Mustang to get custom racing stripes painted on. I was very particular about the final design, and I couldn't be happier with the result. [redacted] was GREAT to work with. The price was fair and they finished ahead of schedule. But what I liked best was that [redacted] took the time to check with his painting crew to make sure that they could do the job I was asking for before committing to do the work. He said, "I want your business, but I want you to be happy with your car even more." I would definitely recommend them!

My faded Lexus has been transformed! I was very concerned about the paint and [redacted] was very detailed in his explanation of the different paints and helped me understand which paint grade was the right choice for my baby. I can't get over how great it looks again. Really terrific work!

Terrific work, I had a really great experience! They transformed my van from a beater to a thing of beauty on time and budget. Really great work!

Went to Scott about 6 months ago for a front end collision repair and at first everything was fine went through insurance and got the car back a month after not because of Scott but because of the insurance company. 2 months ago my wife was driving the car and all of a sudden she heard a loud bang and steam started going everywhere luckily she was parked at my work. So went out to check it out and the high pressure line off the condenser,which the condenser was replace by Scott, was just hanging there and I noticed where the line was suppose to be was JB Weld and the bolt that was suppose to be there was broke. So called Scott right away which he was very rude on the phone said I couldn't drop it off tonight even though it was 5pm. So went home and took the front end shrowd off and noticed there were about 12 missing clips missing, a few bolts not even tightened, a bare wire was just sitting there and the brackets holding the bumper were still bent bad. So went to Scott in the morning were he was very rude and argued with me about the JB Weld even though his main mechanic said it was. So after argueing with me for about 30 minutes he finally said he will fix there half [redacted] mechanic work and then he said after this he will not repair any more problems that come up. 2 days later was able to pick up the car where they fixed the a.c. correct this time but the bumper brackets were still not straight and the bare wire was still there but I told Scott I'll just handle that stuff. So Auto Painting USA gets 2 stars from me just because he fixed it right the second time. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I hope Scott learns to treat people with some respect.
Update on my car all of the plastic under the car came off while driving and there are chips in my front end already.

Quality Work, I would recommend to friends!

- Very poor workmanship

- Poor customer communication

- Body preparation prior to paint is poor

- Not able to complete the job on time

- Paint flaws are extensive and they will paint over improperly prepared surfaces.

If you want your car one color with very bad body work and paint preparation and finishes this is the place to go.

Anything approaching a quality paint job this company cannot handle. They will provide more excuses about why they have extensive flaws in their paint work.

We had to take the vehicle to another shop to have the roof repainted.

Any company that calls you to tell you your vehicle is ready for pick up and does not inspect the work prior to calling you speaks volumes about the company. Not only did they do this once but twice both times we identified several major paint flaws and poor workmanship issues.

Friendly and honest, I hate being pushed and every other place I checked kept pushing me to spend more. The other good thing was they have giant glass wall and you can actually see the guys painting and see how the paint jobs are coming out. Every other place was like 'trust us', but I like to see it. Good job.
