We are in receipt of your letter regarding the above referenced complaintThe purchaser bought this vehicle with no warrantyAn extended warranty was offered but declinedThe customer drove the car almost 2,miles before bringing it back and complained of an oil leak and “smoking” issuesWe did find a minor oil leak and even though we were under no obligation to do so as the car was sold as is, we did repair the oil leak for the customer free of charge and even provided a courtesy loaner carAt no time were we able to replicate or notice any evidence of any “smoking” during the initial inspection or after the oil leak was repairedAnd we never noticed any such leaks before the sale of the vehicleSo we gave her back the vehicle after repairing the oil leakThe customer did not stake any “brake issue” or body issues at that time either and we witnessed none during test drive or inspectionI have a feeling this is a case of buyers remorseAgain, if she had purchased an extended warranty, any issues that arise after purchase would be coveredBut unfortunately, the car was sold as is and there is nothing further we can do

Buyer who is in the automotive business inspected the vehicle himself at great length before purchase. We agreed to reimburse $100 he asked for which we did. Then continued to complain over next weeks about minor issues one can expect to find on any used vehicle much less one with 120k miles, sorry...
its not new. Vehicle left in good condition and buyer himself after lengthy inspection and test drive didnt notice any of these issue before purchase. Tires where definitely on the car when it left and during his inspection, tires were nearly new. Car sold at huge discount and sold as-is, buyer inspected prior to purchase, plus we refunded $100 as agreed. Sorry we wish every buyer could be 100% happy but some just never are.

warranty. An extended warranty was offered but declined. The customer drove the car almost 2,000 miles before bringing it back and complained of an oil leak and “smoking” issues. We did find a minor oil leak and even though we were under no obligation to do so as the car was sold as is, we did repair the oil leak for the customer free of charge and even provided a courtesy loaner car. At no time were we able to replicate or notice any evidence of any “smoking” during the initial inspection or after the oil leak was repaired. And we never noticed any such leaks before the sale of the vehicle. So we gave her back the vehicle after repairing the oil leak. The customer did not stake any “brake issue” or body issues at that time either and we witnessed none during test drive or inspection. I have a feeling this is a case of buyers remorse.
Again, if she had purchased an extended warranty, any issues that arise after purchase would be covered. But unfortunately, the car was sold as is and there is nothing further we can do.
Review: Purchased a 2006 Honda Odyssey that needed immediate attention and should have been caught on a standard safety inspection. No issues were disclosed as a problem. Issues had to be paid at my expense. Contact has been made on several occasions to the dealership with no response.
Major Problem: 2 tires were coming off of the rim. Traveled at highway speeds to come home from the dealership. This is a huge safety issue and could have caused on accident. Had to pay to have them remounted and was unable to drive vehicle until the problem was fixed.
Minor Issues: Tail light out, needed new brakes, gas door release not working, lock on back door did not work.Desired Settlement: Requesting the deposit of $500 to be returned
*A check in the amount of $100 was sent because the brake problem was noticed during the test drive and they agreed to reimburse me to fix it on our own. They will not take responsibility, however, for the safety issues.
