[redacted] did purchase the Model A from Auto Star USAThe Exterior and interior were fully restored, [redacted] worked out a deal with us to purchase the Model A and have it shipped to him in ChicagoBefore the transaction was complete David sent [redacted] detailed photos of the bottom of the Model AThe Model A has been on Auto Stars lot for a year before [redacted] purchased it, Auto Star never had any issues with the steering, radiator, or motorI did notice that he is asking for money back on the engine as well but never expressed any concerns about the engineAuto Star USA never implied that the Model A was under warranty and Auto Star USA does not know what could have happened to the Model A after it was in ChicagoAuto Star USA did sell the Model A "As IS No Warranty", and I attached the paperwork that [redacted] signedThe Model A is an year old vehicle so Auto Star USA would never express any type of warranty for that vehicle since no warranty exists for these vehicles

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Aside from the motor issues, the radiator (leaking steam) and the broken steering column could not have been broken in transit and must have been present at the time of shipping the car and I am happy to get statements from a local mechanic to that point The fact that the broken steering column could have resulted in a deadly crash is alarming! As a auto repair facility, this most definitely should have been known by the seller, and they negligently misrepresented the car.Attached is the bill for replacing the broken steering column ($465) This does not include labor to remove and replace the steering column Attached is the cost of a new radiator ($775) This does not include shipping or the labor to remove and replace the radiator I request Auto Star at least helps with the cost of these items The total for the steering column and radiator is close to the initial request amount I made, $ Unless there is some resolution to this matter, the next step sounds like contacting an attorney in Colorado Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Auto Star USA had no issues with the vehicle prior to shipping, We still don't see a reason that [redacted] is trying to get a new engineThe Mechanics at Auto Star USA would drive the vehicle once a month for at least minutes since it is a very old vehicle and to make sure it was working good and that the volt battery was chargedAgain the vehicle was sold As Is No Warranty.?

[redacted] did purchase the 1931 Model A from Auto Star USA. A. The Model A has been on Auto Stars lot for a year before [redacted] purchased it, Auto Star never had any issues with the steering, radiator, or motor. I did notice that he is asking for money back on the engine as well but never expressed any concerns about the engine. Auto Star USA never implied that the Model A was under warranty and Auto Star USA does not know what could have happened to the Model A after it was in Chicago. Auto Star USA did sell the Model A "As IS No Warranty", and I attached the paperwork that [redacted] signed. The Model A is an 87 year old vehicle so Auto Star USA would never express any type of warranty for that vehicle since no warranty exists for these vehicles.

I am rejecting this response because:Aside from the motor issues, the radiator (leaking steam) and the broken steering column could not have been broken in transit and must have been present at the time of shipping the car and I am happy to get statements from a local mechanic to that point.  The fact that the broken steering column could have resulted in a deadly crash is alarming!  As a auto repair facility, this most definitely should have been known by the seller, and they negligently misrepresented the car.Attached is the bill for replacing the broken steering column ($465).  This does not include labor to remove and replace the steering column.  Attached is the cost of a new radiator ($775).  This does not include shipping or the labor to remove and replace the radiator.  I request Auto Star at least helps with the cost of these items.  The total for the steering column and radiator is close to the initial request amount I made, $1250.  Unless there is some resolution to this matter, the next step sounds like contacting an attorney in Colorado.

Auto Star USA had no issues with the vehicle prior to shipping, We still don't see a reason that [redacted] is trying to get a new engine. The Mechanics at Auto Star USA would drive the vehicle once a month for at least 10 minutes since it is a very old vehicle and to make sure it was working good and that the 6 volt battery was charged. Again the vehicle was sold As Is No Warranty.
