I had auto techz replace the lift on my truck, I requested that they have my front driveline rebuilt due to a vibration at 45 and 65-70 mph. I got my truck back on 4/7/14 and the driveline was only spray painted to look new. the u-joints were not replaced and the vibration is still there. I contacted [redacted] about the situation and told him he charged me for this repair but didn't repair the driveline. he told me to go "[redacted] myself". then told me to bring it back in but I`d get charged accordingly yet I already paid for it to get fixed.he also charged to remove and replace upper and lower control arm on the right side when that should have been part of replacing the lift kit. he charged 76.25 for a torsion bar that wasn't replacedProduct_Or_Service: auto repairDesired Settlementhe needs to refund 335.00 for the drive line, 135.00 that was charged for the replacement of the upper and lower control arms when that was part of the lift kit. and the torsion bar that wasn't replaced. total refund should be 546.25Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted] brought his vehicle in for a insurance claim for a broken lift kit and suspension damage. After reviewing the damage I contacted the insurance company and submitted estimate. Total repair estimate for vehicle was 2627.58. [redacted] insurance submitted payment of 1944.18. I attempted to call the insurance company to approve the balance. they refused and said [redacted] was responsible for payment. I contacted [redacted] and he refused to pay as well. I told him I would do as much as I could for the 1944.00 I recieved. I told [redacted] I put drive line in truck without rebuilding it. I told [redacted] if he agreed to pay the balance of 683.40 I would be more than happy to have his driveline rebuilt.As far as his trailing arm. I worded estimate as 2 trailing arm bushings/torsion bar. [redacted] recieved a copy of insurance quote. Not a reciept. This vehicle was not completed due to failure to pay balance.I have copy of reciept of payment from insurance company. They will recieve reciept from me. Thank YouConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] was directed to rebuild the front drive line and was ask on three different ocassions if he had the driveline rebuilt and he said he did. Now he is acknowledging he didnt rebuild it and I hold a reciept stating he sublet repairs for the driveline. All he did was spray paint the driveline and try to tell me there was nothing wrong with my drive shaft. As stated on the work order he charged 76.25 for a torsion bar that was never replaced then there is another charge for 76.25 for torsion mounts. As for the 135.00 to r&i upper and lower control arms, they had to be removed anyhow to replace the lift kit. [redacted] was told to not replace the conrol arms and just repair the drivline. When I picked up the truck I noticed he replaced the control arms anyhow so I asked if the driveline was rebuilt and he told me it was. I'm not the average customer here I have 32 yrs as a mechanic and i'm ase certified. [redacted] tried to tell me that there was nothing wrong with my driveline and youcan clearly feel the vibration at 45 and at 65-70 mph. It's clear auto techz and [redacted] is a thief and is not going to repair the driveline. All his crylon rebuild did was show what kind of shop he runs and his integrity as a mechanic. Final Business Response I told [redacted] I put the driveline in the vehicle.. Once again [redacted] and [redacted] Insurance denied any payment of balance to complete job.Also the torsion mount/torsion bars bushing list out at 76.25 each. No number of quantity of Torsion bar sale indicated. In addition to [redacted]s estimate copy we replaced the left front axle seal, also replaced rear shocks. After [redacted] became incooperative in his temper I told him to come get vehicle and I would swallow my losses..If [redacted] wants work from a business then payment is expected..Once again if I have check copy of partial payment. So I cant reimburse for money never recieved..Thank You
