This vehicle was sold "as is" and the dealership retains paperwork to this affect Every customer has the option to take the car to an independent mechanic before purchase This vehicle was actually driven by one of our employees for an extended trip and it drove perfectly, if rims were bent it would affect the ride This customer drove the car from Manassas to Carolina and would have felt the vibration in doing so if the rims were damaged before the sale, had he turned around or called the day after the sale we may have been willing to help but after weeks of driving we feel that this vehicle was damaged after delivery and we are not willing to cover the needed repair

The truck purchased is a [redacted] with over 170,miles on it and was sold as is The customer had the vehicle checked by his mechanic prior to the sale and his mechanic liked it so much he tried to buy it his self but we gave Mr [redacted] priority for the purchase because he had been here 1st It makes sense that if the EGR was clogged that we cleaned, not in effort to hide anything but to diagnose a problem Mr [redacted] did call the dealership with a concern and we offed to help him even though the truck was sold is The dealership is of the position that we were willing to work with Mr [redacted] but he became abusive, demanding, threatening and accusing over the phone and we no longer wish to have contact with him on this matter, he can call his lawyer as he stated he was planning to do We find the wording of his complaint to be insulting and again accusing and this is not how you work with people....gives you an insight as to what we were dealing with over the phoneAuto Trademark

I am rejecting this response because:
This is not resolved This dealership has other complaints similar to ours online How would this salesman feel if his wife or mother was sold a vehicle in this condition? When you wipe out your savings to buy a vehicle then not be able to pay the thousands it will cost to make all the repairs, then what?

After reviewing the information given to us, we believe that this customer has mistaken our dealership for another. We have no customer by this name in our data base, did not sell this type of car during this time period and also have no one by the name of Dominic here. Please
contact this customer and have this complaint removed.
thanks

This van was sold almost 1 year ago.  The customer call us about an issue with the vehicle about 1 week after the sale and although it was sold AS-IS we told her to bring it in to take a look at it for her out of good will.  There was no check engine light on and at the time it was driving...

well and our mechanic found no issues.  At this point we are looking at an almost 10 year old [redacted] with over 120,000 miles on it and will need repairs that are common with ownership of an older vehicle.  We do have extended warranties available and are offered to each customer, it is unfortunate that [redacted] did not purchase one as it could be helping with any necessary repairs as the vehicle ages.Auto Trademark
