Complaint ID#*** Electrical problems can be very fickleIt is very possible for an alternator to bench test good and not perform to manufacture specifications under a load while installed in the vehicle hence the dim lights with the original unit and the Hyundai Dealer recommendation
to have the alternator testedIt is an assumption on my part that the dim light issue on the vehicle is no longer a problem with the new Alternator? That being said AutoZone did not charge or receive any payment for any services rendered and is not in a position to provide a refund for the new alternator without having the AutoZone part returned to an AutoZone storeThere is also a question as to why the Mechanic that preformed the installation of the alternator did not complete any electrical diagnostics prior to installing the replacement unit? Out of customer satisfaction we will gladly reimburse the mechanic's fee of $with proof of purchaseWe simply need a copy of the mechanic's invoice on a company invoice with the customer's information and repair work performedWith a copy of the invoice the labor reimbursement can be handled at the local AutoZone store where the alternator was purchasedWe certainly apologize for the delay in not responding to this issue before today and offer our sincerest apologies in this matter to Mr***The above resolution is considered fair and non-negotiable Best Regards, *** *** Regional Manager, Customer Satisfaction
