In response to complaint # [redacted] filed on the 18th of August As of the 23rd of August this issue has been resolved with the customerHe has received his tag and registration for the vehicleWe do empathize with the customer as this has been an uncommon and wearisome situationAt the time of purchase we used an outsource company based in [redacted] SC to register and obtain a tag for our sold vehiclesDuring the process of registration they had lost the title for the purchased vehicle and tried for many weeks to get a duplicate titleSince the process was taking too long we then hired *** Title and Tag located in [redacted] Texas to assist us with the recovery of a duplicate title from the state of TexasThe process for this is normally speedy but due to this particular vehicle had been sold and titled four times in Texas they had to locate and receive a signature from every previous ownerWe had keep the customer and the finance company ( [redacted] ) updated on the situationThe finance company did not have any concerns with the time it was taking to provide the title to them since we have an exceptional and long standing relationship with themWe are actually incredulous to see this complaint filed on the 18th of August from the customer since he was continually informed of the situation and aware the documents required to register his vehicle was en route and he would have his tag/registration for the purchased vehicle by the 23rd of August Please recognize that this was a rare situation for our company and from day one we made every effort to resolve this problem

been driving the vehicle for a period of time. We did receive a call from Ms. [redacted] stating the check engine light had come on and immediately purchased a sensor for the vehicle to resolve the problem. The sensor was delivered to us on the 29th of June and we immediately called Ms. [redacted] to inform her she needed to bring the vehicle in so we could service her vehicle. Ms. [redacted] informed us that she was driving to Detroit and could not return the vehicle to us until they returned. Finally on the 17th of July they brought in the vehicle for service and at this time demanded new brakes and repairs on the seat. Even though Ms. [redacted] purchased the vehicle as is and signed an as is buyers guide we did the repairs on the brakes, sensor and seat to appease her and provided her a loaner vehicle while her vehicle was being repaired.  Two times we actually delivered the vehicle to her home in Abbeville SC (approximately 60 miles away from our location) since she could not pick up her repaired vehicle. We do empathize with Ms. [redacted]’s recent mechanical problem but her current issue with the vehicle emerged in the middle of October (almost 3 months from purchase date and 7,000 miles later) Ms. [redacted] stated she purchased a warranty for repairs through her lender but “can’t even use at most repair shops where she lives at”. We at this stage feel she needs to use the designated repair shops through her warranty since we have made every effort to repair her vehicle for the issues we felt was our responsibility to fix. Please keep in mind that we cannot keep making repairs on a used as-is vehicle that Ms. [redacted] has driven an additional 7,000 miles since the day of purchase.

In response to complaint # [redacted] filed on the 18th of August 2017.  As of the 23rd of August 2017 this issue has been resolved with the customer. He has received his tag and registration for the vehicle. We do empathize with the customer as this has been an uncommon and wearisome...

situation. At the time of purchase we used an outsource company based in [redacted] SC to register and obtain a tag for our sold vehicles. During the process of registration they had lost the title for the purchased vehicle and tried for many weeks to get a duplicate title. Since the process was taking too long we then hired [redacted] Title and Tag located in [redacted] Texas to assist us with the recovery of a duplicate title from the state of Texas. The process for this is normally speedy but due to this particular vehicle had been sold and titled four times in Texas they had to locate and receive a signature from every previous owner. We had keep the customer and the finance company ([redacted]) updated on the situation. The finance company did not have any concerns with the time it was taking to provide the title to them since we have an exceptional and long standing relationship with them. We are actually incredulous to see this complaint filed on the 18th of August from the customer since he was continually informed of the situation and aware the documents required to register his vehicle was en route and he would have his tag/registration for the purchased vehicle by the 23rd of August 2017. Please recognize that this was a rare situation for our company and from day one we made every effort to resolve this problem.
