Shows taxes was taken out and no safety ckecks was done on this out of state car that was sold in a car lot in California

On September 4, 20013 The customer bought a used  2007 Audi A4. The vehicle was sold  "As is-No Warranty" per customers decision. Prior to being sold the car was sent to a licensed repair shop to get the necessary repairs requested by our dealership, such repairs (if any) are required by...

the state of California in order for the vehicle to be sold. The customer came back on 9/10/13 and we installed a new set of tires per his request. The customer was aware that California has no cooling off period meaning that unless a Contract cancellation agreement is purchased  the sale is final. At the time of purchase the customer declined the option to get an extended service warranty, and signed a "Buyers Guide" which shows the vehicle being sold "A-Is" and a list of defects that may occur in a pre-owned vehicle.

"This is the place that gives small car dealerships a bad name!"
The facts:
1. They delivered inaccurate "CarFax Report" (Car was in a previous accident)
2. They delivered real "CarFax" when the real V.I.N. was discovered 5 months later
2. I would not have bought the car, or not paid the same price with this information.
3. They reported inaccurate V.I.N. to finance company and to DMV
4. I never received license plates (They had them in their office under a stack of old files)
5. They gave me a "Due Bill" and never completed the work (I revisited 8X and logged 27 calls)
6. Finally agreed to complete "Due Bill" items and replaced with cheap parts and poor labor. I left with more loose parts...
7. Car purchase in November 2014. Due Bill repairs still not complete in September 2015.
[redacted]AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE GUYS. THEY LIE, CHEAT AND WILL SMILE AND LAUGH WITH YOU ALONG THE WAY[redacted]

In regards to the customer's complaint, he purchased a vehicle from Autobaun and requested he be able to register the vehicle when he got home.  He signed a statement of facts (attached) acknowledging that no sales tax was charged.  We gave him a "One-way Trip Permit" which allows a one...

day drive without registration, so he could complete it when he returned home. Please contact me if you have any questions.

$1,500 are not due as both the seller (Autobaun) and buyer ([redacted]) understand that the funds were applied to the undisclosed damages (reconditioning) on the vehicle.     The reconditioning charges (damages) on the of the vehicle exceeded the $1,500. Total amounts of repairs were $1,643 to include full detail of the unit & rear bumper damage repair. The balance of $143 was written off internally through Autobaun's accounting team.
Furthermore Autobaun was not contractually obligated to take possession of the vehicle due to [redacted] not purchasing a contract cancellation option agreement (refer to [redacted] contract line number L). Due to [redacted]'s extremely sensitive personal family matters and his desires to rescind from his executed contractual obligation on the purchase of said vehicle, Autobaun in good faith agreed to take possession of the above referenced unit and apply the $1,500 towards the reconditioning (damage)

[The supposed damage detailing is false. The damage to the rear bumper was already there when I drove the vehicle from the lot (a slight scuffing on the driver side corner of the bumper); any "undisclosed damages" is solely on the dealer (Autobaun), I do not accept that the vehicle in question required $1,643 of repair and I can have witnesses attest to the vehicle being in proper mechanical and detail form when I drove it back to the dealer. Nerveless they (Autobaun) did not inform me that "purchasing a contract cancellation option agreement" was even optional. They also declined to inform me at the time they accepted the vehicle back that they would keep the $1,500 down payment for any reason whatsoever. As to my "extremely sensitive personal family matters" the dealership "owner" (as I have no way of knowing if the man was indeed the owner of some other employee being an imposter of their employer) and Mr. [redacted] were extremely rude in trying to pry private personal and family information.]

Review: In August of 2014 I purchased a 2007 Audi A4 2.0T from Autobaun in San Diego. No more than three weeks later it was making a squeaking noise from under the hood, so I took it to an Audi dealership to see what was wrong with it. Upon their diagnostics, they found that the front right inner CV boot was torn and leaking ($340), also that 4 front upper control arm bushings are split and making noise when turning ($710), also a leaking engine mount ($430), and that the timing belt, related parts and coolant pump need to be replaced ($1070) - This is what was squeaking. After repairing most of these items, I then took it to an Audi specialist recommended to me by a friend for further inspection and to get the engine mount repaired. They found that the transmission fluid, and fuel system needed to be cleaned as well as the timing belt replaced (which should have been done at 75K if not by the selling dealer who inspected the car. Amongst other things the total cost of repairs has been $3,951. This dealership is saying that they have mechanics that inspect the vehicles and ensure they are in good working order and safe to drive. If my CV boot would have broke my car could have crashed. That's just one hazard, if the timing belt goes bad it could ruin the engine. This dealership is negligent and unwilling to help it's customer's. I contacted them with this information and they gave me the run-around everyday for a week, and basically said it wasn't their problem. I bought the car as-is but they also told me that it was inspected, safe and in good working order. 4K in repair's doesn't sound good or safe.Desired Settlement: I want the dealership to pay me what I paid in repairs and what I still have to pay. All repairs have been done by certified Audi dealership or Audi certified import auto shop. I have paid $2200 and still have $1700 in repairs including water pump/timing belt & related parts/trans fluid/fuel system service/cabin air filter. Total cost of repairs will be $3950, I have all receipts and estimates.

Review: I bought a car from Autobaun in San Diego and asked all prudent questions concerning what type of services the car may need. I was lied to and told everything was fine and in good order. Not 5 days after taking the car home I noticed my head light was out and my service light was on. I called Autobaun a number of times and was told they would take care of it and they would call me back. They did not ever call me back. I took the car to the dealership of the make of the car and was then told everything that needed to be fixed would cost $1,600. I then went back to Autobaun to let them know they lied to me and they treated me very poorly and called me an it. They lied to me in order to sell the car and I bought into it. I am a recent college grad so I had little money to spend on the car to begin with and now I need to pay more in order to keep the car running. This is a prime example of false advertising which is a crime. I was told Revdex.com doesn't do much but I am doing whatever I can in order to let others know of their poor business practices. This company will continue to swindle people of no action is taken. This is not just a compliant but a very real scenario that WILL happen to others who shop here.Desired Settlement: I went there to see if they would at least help cover part of the cost of parts and service, but was treated worse than I ever have been treated by a business I was a customer with. This is not at all how a business should be run and they will continue to coat people money they should not need to pay for their lack of respectable business practices.
