Our office received your complaint and is responding to this nowI apologize for the delayWe've already contacted [redacted] (the complaintant) directly and was informed that there was miscommunication between [redacted] and her service adviser at the time, PeterPeter is no longer working for our shopWe are taking matters to our own hands and have reached out the the third party insurance company to take care of the issues right awayOur office contacted the insurance company with [redacted] presentThe insurance company is sending an adjuster to our shop tomorrow, 082015, to reinspect the vehicle [redacted] is leaving her vehicle at our shop for the insurance company to reinspect and it was agreed with the insurance company that they would be covering for [redacted] 's rental vehicle in the time beingAll matters will be handled between [redacted] , Auto Body, and the insurance company

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] In response to Auto Body of 117, our comments are below in-line.>Paragraph 4:>The complainant took their vehicle to our shop on but took the car back on that same >dayThey returned on to drop off their car for the repairs and the car was returned to >them on (as per invoice)This is not relevant to the issue at hand>Paragraph 5:>Our service adviser recommended not to fix the rocker because the snow will scratch it during the >wintertime and we did not want the customer spending money to fix it and in two months it will be >scratched/scraped from the winter snowOut of the kindness of our hearts we do not want our >customer's spending money and then having to come back a few months later to repaint the same >area due to the snowInstead, we offered to use touch up paint and touch up those areas for now so >it wouldn't be too noticeable and they can repair it after the winterWe do favors like that all the time >for customer's (if it is a small scratch and not worth painting, we advise them not to paint it and we >will try to help them buff it out for free so they can save some money)This is a bunch on nonsense! First they provided a quote for fixing the rocker (and why did they provide a quote in the first place if they are such kind people, as they claim they are!!!)Then they advise not to fix the rocker, for whatever irrational reason of theirs! >Paragraph 6:>As per the two invoices that the complainant providedThe first invoice (preliminary estimate), we >use CCC one which is an estimating system that calculates the time that is needed to repair the >vehicle, it then generates the price after all the hours are punched inThe reason why the >complainant had two different bill is because his wife, [redacted] , came in for an estimate to fix the >rear bumper and rocker moldingAfter giving her the estimate and telling her that the cheapest quote >we can give her is $550.00, she told us that it is too expensive and that she did not want to spend >that much on fixing the carThat is why we told her that we will help her touch up the rocker molding >instead (as per paragraph 5) as a favorFirst off, the first one is not an invoice, but a quote.Soni, my wife, never said thatThey are putting words in her mouth that she never spoke! In fact, in their quote on item #13, it is stated clearly “Agreed Price $550”It means we agreed with what was written in the quoteAnother misrepresentation of reality on Auto Body's partFurthermore, they are contradicting themselves with what they just stated in the previous paragraphIn paragraph they stated that they recommended not to fix the rocker because of the upcoming winter; in paragraph they say instead that we did not want to spend the money and therefore they recommended just to touch up the rocker! Does Auto Body even take the time to read what they are writing? >The reason why the complainant has the second bill for $is because we charged them a total >of $for the repairsThe complainant mentioned that both invoices had different rates ($50/hr >and $60/hr)The first invoice was calculated through CCC One and the second invoice is just a >general invoice that we made manuallyAs you can see from the second invoice, we did not charge >them for anything additional (labor rates - does not have an amount next to that, sales tax - does not >have an amount next to that)Very funnyRead the first sentence: we got charged $because the bill was $This is what happens when we have to deal with not-so-smart people>The complainant also stated that he calculated a total of hours for the rear bumper repair as per >our first bill and that we inflated the price from $to $Since we did not repair the rocker >molding, we deducted the rocker from the first invoice.>Rocker Molding>Repairing: 2.0HR>Painting: 1.5HR>Clear Coat: 0.6HR>TOTAL TIME: 4.1HR >HR x $Hourly Rate = $205.00>Estimate Total: $- = $+ (8.875% sales tax) = $410.46>We rounded it off to $even for the customer for the repairsAuto Body’s quote (again, it is not a bill!) is pretty hours of labor to fix the bumper at $50/hour is equal to $Then they charge hours at $50/hour for Rear Lamps! I never asked them to do anything with the rear lamps! There is not mention of tax, not even “plus tax” in their quote, just a Grand Total of $Grand Total is what the customer pay comprehensive of tax, fee and anything elseThat is why it is called “Grand Total”.In their real invoice there is no mention of how the total is broken down, just $60/hour, no time, no material, no tax amount (except for the tax rate), just a total of $400.>As for the 3% FeeWhen the complainant's wife, [redacted] , came to pick up the car, she paid with >an [redacted] credit cardPrior to paying, we informed her that we use a product called SQUARE for all >of our credit card transactions and told her that we charge a 3% fee for all credit card transactions as >wellShe signed a credit card authorization and paid $total for the repairs(Please see >attached).A honest business would inform their customers of a 3% fee BEFORE they do the job and not at the time of the payment! A honest business would create a quote with all the relevant and proper line items including tax and fees, so customers have the choice of bringing their business to Auto Body or not.>Paragraph 7:>The complainant came by the shop after he saw that the rocker was not repairedWe explained to >him that his wife did not want to fix it and agreed for it to get touched upHe was not happy and >came to our shopAfter pointing out all the scratches on the rocker molding, we explained to him that >we did not fix the rocker due to the reasons listed above (Paragraph and 5)He was upset and >yelled at Victor and Lisa (receptionist) and then left.As explained above Auto Body is contradicting itselfAs they wrote above they are the ones who recommended not to fix the rockerWe did want to fix the rocker! They also gave different versions of their story to [redacted] and the Revdex.com about the events, as I explained in my previous letterHow can anybody really trust Auto Body when 1) they give different stories of the events at different times; 2) they contradict themselves in the span of two paragraph of their own letter! >Paragraph 8, 9, and 10:>He then went on [redacted] and gave us a bad reviewOnce we saw the review, we contacted his wife >immediately asking her why he left a bad review when she was happy after leaving our shopShe >told us that she does not know and will speak to her husbandShe stopped responding to us from >there and the complainant is the person that we dealt with the entire time after that.>The complainant emailed Victor and PJ informing them about the crack on the bumper and attached >one photographAfter seeing the email, our shop reached out to the complainant and asked the >complainant to bring the car in so we can take a better look since the picture did not show muchThe >complainant was upset and verbally abused Lisa and Victor via telephone>The complainant then showed up to our shop to show us the crack that was on the bumperWe >informed him that it does not look like a crack in the paint and told him that it looked as if it was hit>He then got really upset and cursed Victor out and left. This is obviously the core of the issueAuto Body does not want to take responsibility for the poor job they didAs I explained already many times, the crack on the paint is on the top of the bumper (see pictures provided) and not on the side where the car could have potentially got hit.I got an expert evaluation of the cracked paint from another body shop, as explained previously, and they confirmed that it was the result of doing a poor job with plastering the bumper and painting itIncidentally, the paint cracked in may other spot on the top of the bumper after the initial crackI did save the bumper in case I decide to take Auto Body to court>Paragraph 11:>Complainant's wife came the first time when she drove here for a quoteShe parked the car in front >of our shop and came inside the officeOnce going outside, she pointed out scratches on her car and >said it was not thereWe stood in the office with her for minutes showing her our camera footage>The camera footage show that no one walked near her car or even walked by her car the entire time >after she parked it in front of our shopAfter seeing that the scratches were not our fault, she >apologized and leftShe then called PJ back a few hours later and apologized again, asking him if >she can still fix the car at our shopWe agreed to fix it and at the time of drop off, we took pictures of >her car and wrote a check in sheet as well that she signed(Please see attached Check In Sheet). My wife felt uncomfortable with this individuals, which is why she let it goShe told me clearly that those scratches were not there before>Paragraph 12:>As for the [redacted] reviews being fake and the website, I have no words for thatI just went on the >website and it showed that the one star review by [redacted] *who stated that his paint chipped, was >listed as a fake reviewThe fake reviews are evaluated by [redacted] so that is not my opinionAuto Body gets a [redacted] grade of C, with at least 30% of low quality reviews [redacted] has been endorsed by CNBC, USA Today, Yahoo, Daily News, Business Insider and other major media sites. In addition, another person, [redacted] of Brooklyn, has posted a review with a similar issue on [redacted] about the paint on his car’s bumper start showing cracks after Auto Body did a paint jobConclusionAs I stated when I open this case with Revdex.com, I am demanding a refund of $from Auto Body for not having fixed the bumper of our car, in fact even causing more damageHowever, as this is more about punishing a bad business rather than the money itself, I would be satisfied if Auto Body contribute the whole sum of $to a charity of my choice, namely Food for the PoorI am willing to contact Food for the Poor and arrange the transaction In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: These individuals are lying on a number of accountsThe proof of such lies are indeed in the attached auto Body’s quote and invoiceIf their answer to my claim with the Revdex.com is published unredacted, I will sue them immediately for libel! I have never made racist comments against any of their employeesTheir accusations do not even make sense, as I have never met their receptionist before speaking with her on the phoneNeither I made statements about my wife being just a woman who cannot make her own decisionsSo they have to be very very careful of what they are stating because, as I said, I will sue them if such lies are made public. That said, here is how things really developedWe took our BMW 328i on to Auto Body to get the rear bumper and the left rocker molding fixedA small job all consideredVictor and PJ provided a quote for a total of $discounted to $(see quote and invoice attached)The cost of repairing just the bumper was quoted hours at $50/hour for a total of $(see quote attached).Strangely enough, they recommended not to fix the rocker as, according to them, it would have got damaged again during the winterActually, the damage to the rocker molding was caused by a garage attendant and not while drivingThey said they would touch paint the rocker instead and make it look nice again, which did not happenNot clear why they even provided a quote for both the bumper and the rocker if they did not want to do the jobThat was certainly a warning sign that we should have walked away from this place immediately. When my wife went to pick up the car, the bill was inflated from $to $just for the bumper and the rate was also inflated to $an hour (see attachments)No indication of the amount of time spent, just the total amount and the hourly rateOn top of that, they charged a credit card fee of 3% without letting us know ahead of timeThe whole transaction was handled by my wife up to this pointI then decided to give them a call to ask for explanations about the inflated charges and the credit card feeIt was at this point that I spoke with their receptionist who had a very deceiving and canning demeanor and did not answer any of my questions.I decided then to personally pay them a visitWhen I met with them and asked for explanations, Victor kept saying that it was not worth it to fix the rocker molding and the other not so minor scratches that I pointed out to himFor whatever reason they did not want to do the jobFurthermore, when I showed to him the interesting math about the quote and bill, he tried to weasel his way out by saying that their quoting system is very complicatedVictor basically showed the same canning and deceiving behavior of their receptionistI decided, however, that it was not worth it to waste more of my time with these crooks and left. The whole incident would have been put to rest if it weren't for the fact that less than two weeks later a crack appeared on the top of the bumper, exactly on the top, not on the side!I went back to their shop and showed to them how incompetent they areThey did not take responsibility for the poor job they did and instead they made up a story that my wife must have hit something with a bumper guard on, which is another lie, and still would not explain the crack in the paint on the top of the bumperI never had a crack on the top of any bumper of any car I have owned, even when my bumper was hit and damage was caused on the sideI threaten them to take them to small claim court, which I am still considering. To be noted, that contrary to what they claim, the paint did not chip but it did crackVictor took a long video (not pictures but a video) of the bumper during my second visitSo they are lying again regarding the fact that we spoke on the phone about the crack on the bumperI went there in person! My wife also swears that they cause some scratches on purpose when she brought the car in the first timeUnfortunately we were not able to prove it, but both my wife and I do know that those scratches were not there prior to her visit to Auto Body.Incidentally, there are other reviews on [redacted] of people complaining that the paint Auto Body used on their car has chipped or cracked, so it looks like this is a patternFurthermore, it appears that most of the *** reviews about Auto Body are fake, as demonstrated at [redacted] Additional Information:To whom it may concern, In regards to claim [redacted] , I forgot to make an additional commentI just noticed in fact that in their response, that they are claiming they never received the payment from the credit card companyThis is another lie of theirsWhile I did dispute the charge with [redacted] , it did not go through and therefore they were paid the amount of $So not only they are lairs but they are also stupid liars, as there is an audit record of credit card transactions as anyone with more than a two digit IQ would understandI can provide evidence of the payment if requiredBy the way, while swifting through the documents about this whole incident, I found a document from [redacted] where they stated, contrary to what they stated to Revdex.com, that I went a second time to their shop to show the bumperAgain, another proof that they are lying through their teeth! Best regards, [redacted] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]
