Brought stick-shift car for a test drive and appraisalCompany rep drove with me (do not allow them to test-drive without your presence, ever!) and drove in extremely rough mannerRiding a clutch on fully open throttle when shifting gears is nowhere mentioned (check Internet) as a method to check whether clutch is close to its end-lifeConsidering that they might be stopping a check payment (please see other review) after FINAL inspection after you walked out with a check - this might be very risky proposition to leave the car with them for FINAL inspection and walk out with a checkThey could potentially torture the car till something will fail and you will have no remedy against thatThey way how he drove - he could have busted CV joints or driveshaft - for most car you can potentially do such if you dump the clutch on open throttleEven if I knew and give clear instruction not to ride the clutch and not to dump it - who knows what they will do on FINAL inspectionI would request to make a FINAL inspection BEFORE taking a check from them or you being present during final inspection that you could stop the torture and walk away with a car which is still alive and without their checkGave much lower offer than CarMax BTW

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS. Brought my car in for a appraisal and didn't agree with the number so I left. They called me a few days later and said they would give me what I wanted if I brought it in the next day. They inspected the car twice for over 20 mins each time and agreed to purchase the car, I gave them the keys and title got a check and bill of sale. Then 6 hours later they canceled the check costing me fees and claimed there was a "engine noise" but there is NOTHING wrong with the car. Sounds to me like they had someone interested who backed out of the deal and now they are doing the same! SCAM ARTISTS!
AutoBuy we pay the minimum cash that check right away not nice people terrible management treat employees like dirt. Do no do business with this company.
