Auto Dent care had my car for several months did not notify me after I asked for additional service. They never called me and Sold My Car without ever notify/calling me. Car had low mileage and excellent condition. I no longer have a car and if they don't return my car or compensate me for my loss (book value) I will be pursuing this in civil court The service they provided was less than $3000

Review: I had previously been a long-time customer and have referred a good deal of work from my friends and colleagues to Autodent. However, my last experience was a nightmare. By way of review, after a phone conversation withthe manager about what week would be best for me to bring my car in to the shop, you told me to bring my Jeep in on Monday April 22nd and that you’d have my car completed by that Friday. So I went out and rented a car, had my wife drive me over to the shop and dropped off my car early so that it would be ready to go first thing Monday morning for their crew. When I called for an update during that week, I was falsely told that the crew was working on it and it was going to be tight but that it would be done on Friday. However, when I showed up on that Friday, the Jeep was sitting in the back lot untouched and I was out of pocket $232 for a rental car that week. The manager apologized and then told me that he'd have it ready for the next week and that I should keep/rent the car again and they would reimburse me for the upcoming week. They assured me the car would be done by the next Friday. However, when I showed up on the next Friday, the car wasn’t ready as the paint on the hood (repair) clearly didn’t match the body. What is all the more upsetting was that the shop was going to try and pass it off as a “match” and only after I protested did they acknowledge the mismatch. I refused the car as it wasn’t complete. Thus, began the THIRD week my car was with Autodent in an attempt to get it completed/right. As I had already turned in my rental car (total $399.39 which you didn’t reimburse half of) . After three weeks I showed up at your shop late that Friday afternoon hoping my car would have been finished in a workman like manner. However, when I looked at the hood paint it STILL didn’t match and I was told that it was the best they could do. the finish of the paint also has a rough texture to it as well. Autodent is a body and paint shop. I was shocked that they couldn’t match paint on a car and complete the work in a professional manner.. Even though I still wasn’t satisfied and believed the job to be less than professional. I paid you $1500 CASH (they told me they'd give me a better deal if I paid cash) to get my car, end the nightmare and get underway. As it was daylight when I departed the shop, I didn’t notice the next issue – the improperly mounted headlights and fog lights. When I pulled in to my garage that evening, I could see the alignment was “off” on the lights and that the left light was “loose” and that my roughly $150 I-Pod, which I had left in the arm rest, was missing . The very next morning I took the Jeep to the [redacted] Jeep dealership and told them I had installed the lights and needed them to be properly aligned. The tech quickly came back and told me that the headlight mounting bracket was broken and that the screws were stripped out and that the fog lamps were also not aligned. Moreover, he told me and showed me that the lights hadn’t been properly installed b/c instead of using the mounting screws, someone use "sheet rock" type screws to mount the lights. So I had to return on another day so that he could repair the broken mount and align the lights and fog lights – all at a cost of $482.53. I now have to contact the headlight manufacturer to try and get replacement screws as I don’t know if the screws you installed will rust (on my brand new 2013 Jeep.) I am very unhappy to say the least. Not including the value of my time (which would be billed at between $750-$1000/hour) I have wasted a significant amount of money as well. I am now requesting Autodent Care: 1) reimburse me for the replacement of my stolen I-Pod at $150.00; 2) reimburse me for the second week of the rental car (as you promised to me) at $199.69 and 3) reimburse me for the proper installation of the headlights and fog lights (which I had ALREADY paid you to do initially) as well as reimburse me for the cost to repair the broken headlight mount at $482.53. The grand total of the money I believe I am correctly and properly owed by Autodent Care is $832.22. I have sent a detailed email to the shop manager with pictures/etc supporting this claim and he has acknowleged the receipt and that they should have done better. I have had severalsubsequent conversations with the manager asking him to either repair the work or refund my money. to date they havent done anything (except acknowledging receipt of my complaint.Desired Settlement: I believe at a minimum I am owed $832.22 for having to pay AGAIN for things they were supposed to have completed (and which I paid for). I would like them to also repair the bad/rough paint on the hood (again already paid for)
